Climbing to the mountaintop lighthouse at Cape Kamui and back only gives you an hour, which is rushed, but the scenery is beautiful on a nice day. The three hours in Otaru, including lunch, wasn't quite enough time to see everything without taking the cruise. At Shiroi Koibito Park, one hour wasn't enough time to visit the museum. We did see a performance, but there's a separate fee for the factory museum.

There are two tour guides who can communicate in Chinese, English, and Japanese, and they explain the attractions in detail. We were very lucky to see the Shakotan Blue, and the sea conditions were good, so we saw the Blue Cave and fed the seagulls. It was a perfect trip.

Our tour guide, TINA, was very kind and solved any problems immediately. Grape picking in the rain and Cape Kamui in strong winds were both special experiences. It's a shame the Mt. Tengu Ropeway wasn't running due to the weather, but now I have another reason to visit Hokkaido again!

Without a day tour, it would be impossible to visit Cape Kamui, Otaru, and Shiroi Koibito Park in Hokkaido all in one day. This tour is very appealing in the summer, with spectacular and rare natural scenery and great weather. The tour guide is very professional, and the time management and itinerary arrangements are very smooth. Thank you for your efforts!

If you're not driving but still want to see Hokkaido's Shakotan Blue, I recommend this tour. Cape Kamui is beautiful. I walk at a pretty good pace, but I still couldn't make it to the lighthouse in the time allotted because the trail is narrow at the end, only allowing one person to pass at a time, so you won't be able to move quickly if there are a lot of people. If it's sea urchin season, be sure to choose the option with freshly prepared sea urchin rice! The fruit you pick will depend on what's ripe and in season. Mt. Tengu is the last stop on the tour, but due to time constraints in the summer, we had to head down the mountain before dark. If you want to see one of Hokkaido's three major night views, you can do as I did and leave the group at Mt. Tengu. After enjoying the night view, you can head down the mountain and stay overnight in Otaru, and then explore Otaru the next day. The tour guide introduces each attraction along the way and carefully reminds everyone of things to be aware of, taking care of each member of the group. There weren't too many people that day, so they arranged a medium-sized bus, which wasn't too crowded and was quite comfortable.

An excellent trip. My favorite part was the Blue Grotto cruise. The Japanese captain was skillful during the hour-plus ride, and on the way back, he had people in the front and middle of the boat switch seats so everyone could have a good experience. The itinerary was well-organized and efficient; there's no way I could have covered so much ground on my own in a single day.
