Things to do in Mae Ping River

Today's main activity was a spa treatment at Anantara. I booked the Himalayan Therapy Massage [90 Minutes], which is a hot stone essential oil massage using Himalayan rock salt. Klook happened to have a 50% off deal at the time; otherwise, it would normally cost over 5,000 per person. The spa therapists here are really good; the massage was very comfortable. I've wanted to come back ever since my visit two years ago. They use heated rock salt for the massage, and the warmth (professionally known as far-infrared) helps relax the muscles and meridians. The overall pressure of this massage is probably a bit lighter than a typical essential oil massage. Finally, there was a facial treatment using a chilled rose quartz gua sha tool (my mom told me the technical term is "facial facelift"). After the treatment, we didn't have them drive us back to the hotel, as we were staying in Malate, which was only a five-minute walk away.

The cruise lasted about an hour on the way there and 40 minutes on the way back. We were able to relax and enjoy the scenery of Chiang Mai from a boat with tables. Occasionally, staff members provided guidance in English. For lunch, we had Khao Soi at a small garden restaurant (Pad Thai was also an option). You can choose chicken, pork, or beef for the Khao Soi, but I highly recommend the pork. It wasn't too spicy, the portion was just right, and it was very delicious. We also had ice cream after the meal. Since it was a tour of just under three hours, it was easy and enjoyable to participate.

PU was my masseuse, and I chose the four-hour luxury package. The experience was incredibly relaxing and enjoyable. The essential oil selection, body scrub, milk bath, traditional Thai massage, and facial treatment were all wonderful. Best of all, buying the voucher through Klook made it even more affordable! It is a very beautiful spa place. The place is clean and calming. The reception staffs were friendly and my therapist Tuptim was very polite and skilled in Thai massage. The way she handled my foot bath and slippers is really menticulous. One can easily relax here. It has been awhile since I did a Thai massage so I was afraid that I cannot handle the pressure at first but it turns out really great! Highly recommended if one is in Chiangmai.

Very good, and the price is also very affordable. When you arrive, they first give you a cup of herbal tea, then the massage goes from your back to your legs, then to the front, and finally to your head. The massage therapist's skills are excellent. I highly recommend Kate (I think that's her name). Highly recommended, absolutely flawless.

I was hesitant to visit because there were almost no reviews from Koreans, but I'm so glad I did. It was a choice I don't regret. I loved being able to spend a relaxing time in such a beautiful space. All the staff were kind, and the overall system and guidance were well-organized, which I appreciated. It was evident that every part of the space was carefully maintained and managed, which made me trust and enjoy my experience even more. I plan to revisit when I come to Chiang Mai in the future.

My friends and I spontaneously decided we wanted to try a Thai massage. We booked an appointment for 5:30 PM, and the taxi dropped us right at the entrance. Even though we arrived an hour early at 4:30 PM, they were able to accommodate us. Each person had their own private room, which offered excellent privacy, and the massage technique was very comfortable and relaxing. 👏

The environment felt relaxing as soon as I walked in, with a charming old-house ambiance. The entire place was clean, quiet, and comfortable, and the staff were all friendly and polite. The massage therapist's technique was very professional, and the pressure was just right. I never felt awkward or uncomfortable during the session, and it truly helped release the fatigue accumulated during my travels. After the massage, my body felt much lighter, and my mind was significantly more relaxed. I highly recommend this place.
