Fantastic 5.0
It was an amazing experience. Our guide, Talal, showed us truly wonderful hospitality. The desert sunset was absolutely beautiful. The next time I visit Oman, I would definitely love to have him as our guide again.

What to know before visiting Muscat

Quick snapshot of Muscat and what to expect

Muscat draws most Klook bookings for water activities, tours and cruises, with outdoor and museum options also present. Bookings peak in July and are at their lowest around April, so the city’s visitor rhythm swings between a busy summer high and a much quieter spring.

Best times to visit Muscat and how prices move

Klook data shows the busiest month is July while demand bottoms out in April. Prices trend upward into the year-end, with December typically the priciest month and June typically the cheapest according to Klook booking data. If you want lower prices and smaller crowds, consider May–June or April when demand is low and prices are generally lower; for peak-season atmosphere and the widest choice of water activities and tours, aim for July. Note that demand and price don’t always move together here — the busiest month (July) is not the absolute priciest month (December).

Tips for travellers from Malaysia

Most travellers from Malaysia book experiences in Muscat only a couple of days ahead, with many last-minute options available, though some people lock things in about ten days earlier. If your trip is flexible, you can comfortably book popular water activities and tours close to arrival; if you’re travelling in July or December, consider confirming bookings a bit earlier to secure specific time slots. Use Klook to check availability and book experiences as your itinerary firms up.
