Things to do in Langkawi

Joined the Basic Mangrove Tour (shared boat, no meals, meet at Tanjung Rhu pier) and overall it was a good experience. The mangrove scenery is beautiful and relaxing, with limestone cliffs, calm waters, and some wildlife like eagles and monkeys. The guide shared useful information about the mangrove ecosystem. Just note that if you choose the no-meal package, the boat will stop at the floating sea restaurant and you’ll need to wait there for about 40 minutes while others have their meal before heading back to the jetty. Not a big issue, but good to know in advance. Meeting point was easy to find and the tour started on time. Good value for money and suitable for first-time visitors who want a simple mangrove tour.

The management is very organized with advance notifications before departure. The registration location is clearly marked with a picture of the booth, and there's the option to go directly to the jetty or from Underwater World. The boat operator was comfortable and punctual. It's only suggested that the boat operator could share a little history or interesting information at each tour location to add value to the experience.

Booking the Royal Mangrove Tour was incredibly easy and fuss-free. The operator provided clear instructions about the pick-up point, which made the start of the trip smooth and convenient. We thoroughly enjoyed every part of the experience — from the fascinating Eagle Feeding session to exploring the Bat Cave and stopping by Monkey Island. The views at Kilim Geo Park were stunning and the visit to the Fish Farm added a fun touch to the journey. Overall, the tour was absolutely worth the money. It was a well-planned, memorable experience and truly time well spent.

It's about a 35-minute scooter ride from Pantai Tengah. Parking for scooters is free. I purchased advance tickets through Klook. It was the right decision to purchase the Express Pass. It starts at 9:00 AM, but reviews said it's best to arrive between 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM, so I arrived around 8:45 AM, but the ticket purchase line was already starting to get crowded. After finishing the tour, there was a considerable line an hour later. It's best to go first thing in the morning for the tour. The parking lot was also crowded. Because I purchased advance tickets and the Express Pass line is separate, there was no wait time, and I was able to get on the cable car immediately. The cable car holds 6 adults. It was windy and scary at the top, but the view was good. The Skywalk closes when there are strong winds. On this day, it opened after a while after they assessed the situation. As you can see in the image, because it just opened, there aren't people in the shot.

Underwater World Langkawi was such a pleasant surprise. The penguins, jellyfish, and the ocean tunnel were the highlights for me. Everything was well-maintained and informative. A great visit for all ages

Wonderful experience, worth going here if lookin for something different. Check the show timings before going. Mainly 3-4 different shows. Ideal time is from 11-1 pm.

We had such a wonderful historical learning journey at Dream Forest Langkawi. The interactive visual storytelling brought history to life, and the kids truly enjoyed every show and light display. The campfire was a magical highlight too! Thank you for an unforgettable experience!

we got assigned on a smaller boat with 1 other family of 5 and another individual. we didn’t notice sunset. but they had music and dancing in the evening together with the other bigger boats with a lot more people. includes food and free flow cocktails / mocktails / beer / drinks. sea activities eg para sailing to pay separately.

Langkawi's Wildlife Park is a surprisingly large park with a good variety of animals. The park is entirely indoor, so there's no need to worry about inclement weather. Had a great experience overall, enjoyed getting up close and personal with the animals. While the experience is definitely catered more towards children, adults can still enjoy it too. It's not difficult to travel to and from as Grab is available.
