Our tour guide (I believe her name was Aoi—apologies if I spelled it wrong) was absolutely amazing. She did a fantastic job explaining the history and atmosphere around Shinjuku, and the food stops were incredible—the sushi and wagyu were especially delicious. She was very engaging with everyone in the group and made us all feel genuinely welcome. She truly went above and beyond, even running out to wave down taxis for some of us at the end of the tour, which was incredibly thoughtful. One of the highlights was unexpectedly getting to see a tuna cutting event in the same building, followed by enjoying ice cream on the upper floors. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience. If I had the option to choose a tour guide every time, I would pick her without hesitation.
This one was great! Megumi was very thorough. It was only myself and 1 other person so it made it much more intimate and relaxed. Megumi answered all our questions and it felt as if we were all familiar. I hope you get Megumi and that your group isn't too big, so you can get the most out of it. Thanks so much Megumi for a lovely time.
My friend and I really enjoyed! Aside from the GREAT food and drinks, our guide, Kazuki, felt more like a friend touring us around than a tour guide! he was so fun to be with. He really took time to get to know us and entertain us and answer all our questions. This tour is not common but it is worth it and a must try!
One of the best value for money tours I’ve been on. Our guide Fuji was a total star! The tour was really worth it and made our memory of Tokyo very special. The little authentic back alley streets were a photographic dream and the food was excellent and more than enough. A really authentic trip. I can’t recommend it enough. Thank you Fuji for such a memorable experience and the added bonus of accompanying us to the Karaoke bar and suffering our cat calling attempts. 🤦🏼♀️
I really loved the tour and the guide, Fuiji, was great and very polite. I enjoyed everything fr!
Excellent tour, Riku was an informative and friendly guide who took good care of the small group.
As with many of these types of tours, your experience is elevated (or not) simply by the company. This was an intimate group of four including our fearless escort Sou. Sou made this experience so memorable with his knowledge sharing, charm and courtesy. He was awesome! This was a progressive dinner consisting of 3 different venues. Included were omakase sushi, wagyu yakiniku, and a surprisingly unique desert stop - my favorite part of the night! Be sure to save room in your tummy for this experience! When we demolished our delectable meal at the first restaurant early, Sou happily accompanied us for a walking tour of Shinjuku! What a surprise and certainly added value to the evening! It also served to work up our appetite for stop 2 in the line-up! For those Foodies & Foodies at Heart who also enjoy libations with your meal, you were allowed 5 drinks total (options for both alcohol and/or non-alcohol). Two beverages at each restaurant and one at the dessert venue. This in itself really made up for the price as this is one of the pricier tours - but know that it was totally worth it! If you are traveling solo and are a bit intimidated with exploring the many food options and choices, this is a perfect experience for you! It’s also an opportunity for you to meet some great “like-minded” people who enjoy dining adventures! Thumbs up all the way!
The food composition and travel route were not bad, and the guide's explanations were clear. The sushi and wagyu were good, but the dessert was a bit disappointing. I was expecting Japanese desserts, but it was just a store that sold cakes and coffee.
it was an excellent night of walking through different neighborhoods and learning about the Japanese cuisines and their history. Tadahashi was knowledgeable and friendly guide.
Thank you Naoki! We had a wonderful time on the foody tour. Naoki is an awesome guide. We would never have discovered these places by ourselves. Naoki helped us understand the local food culture and customs and definitely increased our knowledge of Tokyo. The food was delicious too! Thank you, we highly recommend this tour.
