Reviews
Was able to see many salmon swimming upstream at various different spots. Our guide was very knowledgeable, and was able to communicate with us many fun facts about the salmon and the surrounding environment. Would definitely recommend joining this tour to learn more about Hokkaido’s salmon and life cycle!
The tour guide will receive you in the hotel lobby on time. It was the first time in my life to see salmon migratory, which was really eye-opening. The tour guide first took us to the fish market to see the salmon unloading situation, and then went to the river where the salmon migrated to give a detailed introduction. This project is worth recommending.
I got to know the ecology of salmon and the environment and development of the fish industry in Shiretoko Peninsula. I also witnessed with my own eyes the large-scale return of salmon to spawn.
