- Choose your favorite antique kimono from over 340 types and remake it to take home. Once done, you will be able to wear it by yourself!
- Learn how to remake Kimono; Using iron and hemming tape to make it. Decorate the kimono you made with easy-to-wear obi, obiage, and obi-string.
- There is an additional charge for purchasing an obi (starting from JYP 4,000), but you are welcome to wear it for free for a photo. When you buy an obi, you will also receive an obiage and objime as a gift!
- We received the Gold Award at the Omotenashi Selection, which is given to outstanding products and services selected by a panel of foreigners living in Japan.
What to expect
It takes about 40 minutes to put on a kimono. This experience allows you to remake the kimono so that it is easier to wear and take it home. We won the gold prize at the famous OMOTENASHISELECTION, where about 30 companies are selected from over 1000 companies. Reservations are also accepted for men. Since the length of the kimono cannot be adjusted for men, this experience will involve printing the kanji for the name and family crest on the kimono.

Good to know
Please keep it note that if your reservation session has a large number of people reserved in the Kiba store, your experience will take place at our Second Store 5 minutes walk from Toyocho Station, not our Kiba location. This is due to space limitations at the Kiba store, and we want to ensure you have the best and most comfortable experience possible!

very very very cool experience, I was tall enough I didn’t have to remake the kimono but we still did so that I had the option for skirt and top seperately. my husband loved this activity and got really into it. it was so beautiful to experience and would recommend to others. you can pay more for better kimonos because these are vintage ones that have some wear and tear.
Had such an amazing experience, and such a nice memento to take back home. The ladies were so nice, helping us to pick kimonos that suited us and showed us how to turn them into an easy to wear 2 piece set. It was so fun putting it all on at the end and taking pictures. Also, the directions are really easy to follow. We got there slightly early and an older gentleman was walking around and chatted to us for a while. Overall, we highly recommend this experience.
The experience was wonderful! the whole staff was very nice, and even though I was too large to fit in the Kimono properly, they went out of their way to make sure my friend and I had a great experience! I highly recommend them!
I absolutely loved this experience. It felt so personal and special, not just an activity but a memory I’ll keep. The people there were incredibly kind and helpful, which made it even more meaningful. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Tokyo.
Absolutely wonderful experience! Everyone was very kind and attentive. They made sure to explain all the steps to me thoroughly, and I love the idea of bringing high-quality kimonos back to life this way! I will definitely wear mine soon!! I'm really happy, and I recommend this experience to everyone
Truly a wonderful experience !!! The ladies were very kind and patient while I choose the kimono I wanted. They even helped me record a video for my mom back home and took many photo’s for me in the kimono. I love the kimono I choose, it is sooo beautiful. If you have the time definitely book !!!
The staff were so kind and helpful. This was such a great experience - and you get to keep the kimono! For the men’s Yakuta they translate your name to Japanese characters and iron them on - so cool! We paid extra for the obi belts - they had a good selection. Buy if you don’t want to buy them they still let you try it on and take pictures with it. Would definitely recommend this. They even gave us advice on where to visit in the area. They’re all so sweet.
This was an amazing memory and souvenir for us to take home. To have our own Yukata and Kimono was something that I will never forget. The staff were amazing and helped us through every step. I didnt feel rushed or bad when there wasn't something I could do. There was 6 people total including my group and it felt very one on one. You get the option to purchase the Kimono set and of course I had to! 💓
This was a lovely experience and the staff were all very lovely and welcoming. There are different price options for the Kimonos and you can also buy the Obi belts as an extra too. I felt awful cutting such a beautiful Kimomo but it still looks as beautiful to wear. The ladies help you get dressed and take photos of you. It's all set in a beautiful building and you have so many choices of colours and patterns. You get to keep you Kimono and they give you a helpful guide of how to wear it again.
I enjoyed every second of this experience. They had a ton of different kimonos to try on, but only some were included in the experience while others would be an additional charge. The staff were attentive, helpful, and sweet. They were concerned about our upcoming bullet train trip because of the typhoon. Their English was very good and they were helping us along step -by-step. Highly recommend this experience and the chance to get a once in a lifetime souvenir.
