Icebreaker Cruise & Monbetsu Ocean Park & Sounkyo Ice Fall Festival

It was a great experience, although rushed, with not much time to eat. The sights were beautiful, and there was free amazake to drink.

we skipped the okhotsk tower but icebreaker ship was highlight and worth the money. we could not go to main drift area due to bad weather but weather was actually good so don’t understand the real reason for not going to main drift area. but still icebreaker ship was different and worth experience to try. also commute from Sapporo is very difficult if you plan to go on your own so this trip is convenient and worth the money to experience once in a life. sounkyo onsen ice festival was also great and enjoyable.

The tour guide's English needs to be improved. His English is poor. His Chinese translation is terrible. I can't understand him at all. He can only hold up a sign and tell me what time to get on the bus.

Japanese tour guides will not inform you before the trip, and you will have to find the meeting hotel by yourself when you arrive. You need to change cars when you arrive at the Monbetsu icebreaker. It is better to ask the Chinese driver to know. Fortunately, we saw the drifting ice, otherwise it would have been really rushed. The stratus cloud ice explosion season only lasts 30 minutes. If you are not afraid of the snowstorm and the trip will be cancelled, it would be better to join a two-day tour.

The meeting place is suitable and the tour guide is polite. Unfortunately, the itinerary information mentioned visiting the seal breeding center, the Sea of Okhotsk Lighthouse and the seal park, but the tour guide did not take us there and did not explain the reason. May I ask why this itinerary was cancelled?

The Japanese tour leader and driver managed the time well, and we set off on time and arrived safely. The weather was great and we took the icebreaker to enjoy the winter scenery.

Icebreaker cruise and Sounkyo Ice Fall festival was beautiful. However, guide was really being passive aggressive towards us, not anyone else. Kept raising his tone at us. We also skipped an item in the itinerary completely, and we reached Sapporo early at 9pm. Couldve let us stay at the Ice Festival longer to make up for the skipped location. Guide did not inform us about skipping location either. I would rather get a public bus and do a day trip

It was a pity that the icebreaker boat didn't break the ice today. The Icefall Festival was beautiful but there was too little time. The tour guide didn't tell us where to stop at the beginning, and I almost couldn't get home in the end.
