Nice experience riding a hot air balloon, we participated in the preparation works before taking off and after landing. Had a muffin and glass of Champagne or oringe juice before leaving to town.

The hot air balloon ride was very smooth! You can see mountain views, various grasslands, and rice paddies. We also saw dairy cows, Angus cattle, sheep, and even wild rabbits! Afterward, there was champagne, juice, and muffins to enjoy.

We booked a hot air balloon experience for our family and regretted it after. It was so smooth, fantastic and comfortable that no other experience after would be able to match or top it. For someone who is afraid of heights, I loved this experience! Graeme was so in control that there was no fear and we enjoyed the experience tremendously! If you want an adventure, this is for you. Waking up early is totally worth it.

Two days before the event, we emailed us saying that the weather might be bad on Wednesday and asked us to transfer to Saturday, but we replied that we had left on Saturday. So we changed the original itinerary, drove all night, and went to the meeting place from Tekapo at three o'clock in the morning. The meeting time was 6:00 in the morning, and the two of us and three other tourists arrived on time. Then, people from the hot air balloon company came to look up the weather. The weather was very clear at that time, but unfortunately they soon announced the cancellation of the event because the weather would get worse and worse that day and it was not suitable for flying. It made us waste 5 hours driving back and forth late at night. The weather turned out to be very good that day, and I saw other hot air balloons in flight on the way out. The most unacceptable thing is that this company cannot predict the weather and tell you in advance whether they will fly or not. They can only gather at the moment, by the road, and look at the weather to decide. If we can notify in advance, we don't have to waste the drive, and what is even more ironic is that the hot air balloon company suggested that we reschedule to the same day. Angry and disappointed we then went to another balloon company in the same area and had a successful flight. Another hot air balloon company said that they all flew on Tuesday, and the weather was fine. I don’t understand their judgment, and the weather forecast was made the night before, which was already very accurate. They all informed the guests the night before, and they would not The cancellation was announced only after the assembly, which made everyone go in vain.
