This was my first time experiencing this kind of speedboat ferry. The waves were really big and I ended up throwing up, but the crew members were so nice and constantly checked on how we were feeling. Stewart Island is definitely worth visiting; it's a very beautiful, pristine, and charming small island.
I had an efficient, smooth and lovely experience. I dropped my suitcase in the bin provided, memorised the bin number, checked in at the checkout by giving my name and that was it. I didn't need to go digging through my phone to find an electronic confirmation.
If you ride in bad weather, you can enjoy a thrill that is not inferior to that of a jet boat. It was fun. I was debating whether to take a plane or a ferry, but I think it was a good decision to take the ferry because the check-in process didn't take long.

Excellent ride back - no issues claiming the Klook tickets. There is a carpark which is tricky to find a spot in but we arrived about 1hr early and copper a spot. Carpark is outdoors
