Jose was our tour guide and the custom itinerary was perfect. He met us at our hotel and took an easy walk around to multiple areas. He was. very knowledgeable and showed us all the intricate things we would never have looked for. excellent tour and good pace. He took us to a few local food places that had awesome food and was not flooded with tourists. highly recommend this tour as they will customize it for whatever you want to see.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️if I could give Milo 20 out 10 I would. so so knowledgeable knows all the amazing places back streets, local little restaurants. you would never hear, learn and see these things without him. worth every cent and more. thank you thank you 💓
We were very fortunate to be booked with Austen who tailored our day to the changing weather and energy of our kids. He was very knowledgeable and really just a wonderful person. Thank you Austen for your patience, jokes and kindness. We enjoyed our tour of Kyoto and the opportunity to hang out with you.
We had Toga as our guide in Kyoto, Toga knew all of the hidden gems 💎 as well as a wealth of knowledge, Toga was friendly and engaging the whole day. My husband and myself had the best day! We would recommend Toga to anyone!
We were fortunate to have had Afifah as our tour guide. She's very knowledgeable of the history of the sites we visited. She also took us to Instagram worthy spots that weren't crowded. The best part for us was that she's a Muslim. That means looking for halal street foods was easy and suggestions for halal restaurants were always available. This really enhanced our visit to Kyoto! She's also great with children. Highly recommended.
Miko was very nice and really helped to guide us to different locations. We did everything our list but also discovered hidden gems. Awesome day!
I highly recommend this tour. Our tour guide Ian was terrific! Friendly, knowledgeable and generous - we went to lots of incredible spots, temples and gardens. Then Ian took us to authentic restaurants and eateries, including one where we ate the best ramen of our lives! We started the day in beautiful Higashiyama and made our way through the old railway lined with cherry blossoms in Keage. It was truly magical! We visited Heian Shrine and the peaceful royal garden, enjoyed tea by the water and saw the two sacred trees - cherry and tangerine. After that we walked to Nanzen-ji Temple, passed the canal museum and took a cozy break at Shinpukan - with coffee and mochi. In the afternoon we wandered through Gino and Hanami Koji, passed the Yasaka Pagoda, visited the Love Shrine and ended at Pontocho Street. Ian was amazing and gave our whole family a remarkable experience - it was our favorite day of the trip!!
We had a fantastic full-day walking tour with Kenta! He thoughtfully tailored the experience to our two kids, keeping things fun and engaging while showing us the beauty of Arashiyama, hidden gem temples, and even helping us find the perfect spot to skip rocks across a peaceful Kyoto river. His kind wisdom, cultural insights, and attention to detail made the day both meaningful and memorable. Highly recommend!
My family and I recently had the pleasure of taking a walking tour in Kyoto with our guide Kenta Suzuki. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole day with Kenta as he had an impressive depth of knowledge of the places we visited. Well organised with clear friendly communication, Kenta is like a friend to us rather than a guide. Overall, the tour with Kenta exceeded our expectations which made our experience memorable and enjoyable.
Very fortunate to have Mia as our guide on this walking tour. Communication was amazing asking for our input and making adjustments to suit our group. We loved learning more of the history of the sites, practices and Japanese culture. Mia did a great job catering to an 8 year old, teenagers and oldies, and capturing photos for us. Well recommend this walking tour. It was seamless and fun to try different modes of transport between sites. We wish Mia the best for the year of the snake.
