Why use a Hokuriku Arch Pass?
For foreign visitors with temporary visitor status, the pass makes travel simple. Skip the lines at the ticket office—scan your rail pass at the automatic gate and hop on board. Best of all, you can reserve seats in ordinary cars for free.
How long is the Hokuriku Arch Pass valid?
The validity period expires after 7 days. It works on calendar days, not 24-hour periods—so it starts at midnight on the first day and ends at midnight on the 7th day.
What’s included in a Hokuriku Arch Pass?
JR Trains Unlimited rides on the Hokuriku Shinkansen bullet train between Tokyo and Kanazawa. The Hokuriku Arch Pass also covers selected JR trains on JR East and JR West lines, including limited-express trains and local trains within the area.
Airport Transfers Covers major airport train lines like the JR Haruka Airport Express (Kansai Airport to Osaka), JR Narita Express (Narita Airport to Tokyo), and the Tokyo Monorail lines (Haneda Airport to Tokyo).
Non-JR lines
Ride non-JR lines with your Hokuriku Arch Pass:
- IR Ishikawa Railway line between Kanazawa and Tsubata
- Ainokaze Toyama Railway line between Takaoka and Toyama
- Noto Railway between Nanao and Wakuraonsen
- Hapi Line Fukui between Fukui and Echizen-Hanando

- Confirmation email and Klook voucher can not be used to redeem the actual JR Pass in Japan. Only the mailed Paper Exchange Order can be used for redemption
Booking guidelines
- Booking your JR Pass: we suggest booking your JR Pass in advance, choosing your intended travel date on the calendar. This date is not the activation date but rather your planned travel date
- Exchanging for physical JR Pass: after purchasing the JR Pass on Klook, you’ll receive a Paper Exchange Order for each traveller. Remember that you have 90 days from the purchase date to exchange this Exchange Order for the physical JR Pass in Japan at an Official Exchange Office
- Activation and travel: following the exchange, you have 30 days to activate your JR Pass and commence your train travel adventures in Japan
Pass eligibility
- Free for children aged 0-5
- Valid only for non-Japanese passport holders with a "Temporary Visitor" Visa stamp on the passport. Non-Japanese passport holders with a permanent residence in Japan cannot use this product
- Secure a Temporary Visitor Stamp at immigration to be eligible for a JR Pass. Do not pass through the automated gates, as no stamp will be applied
- Japanese passport holders who have been residing outside of Japan for 10+ years are eligible to use a JR pass if they have 1) a valid Japanese passport and 2) a Copy of Overseas Residential Registration/Certificate of Overseas Residence from the Japanese embassy or legation of Japan in your foreign country of residence
- Age is determined based on your booking confirmation date

Booking the Hokuriko Arch Pass on Klook was smooth and convenient. The pass was easy to book in the app and I received my voucher 7 days after i booked. i exchanged the voucher at Narita Airport and they gave me the actual pass which i can use unlimited on all JR east/west lines around tokyo and hokuriko region for 7 days. It was also convenient and easy to book Hokuriko shinkansen on our preferred time and date with reserved seats. Totally worth it! The only downside we had was the pass sometimes are not being recognized on some stations, it wont allow us to pass so we needed to go through the manned gate , but other that that no problem. Will still book for sire to explore other areas in Hokuriko..
Price: Very worth it. The value is 30,000 yen, but I actually used 69,000 yen. Having a pass makes me not worry. Plus, I got a discounted price from Klook.
Very value for money for traveling back and forth around Hokuriku region, Osaka, Kyoto, Tokyo metropolitan JR lines and trains to Haneda and Narita airport for 7 consecutive days. Frequent trains from Nagano to Tsuruga so it is very convenient if we only want to satisfy food and drinks cravings from the next city and return after a couple of hours! Quick and easy seat reservation process, otherwise if one is in a rush it is also easy to just hop on the non-reserved seat cars. Will deffo get again if I am back in the area.
One of the best and most cost-effective JR passes I've ever purchased. It covers travel from Tokyo to Kyoto, and you can also explore beautiful cities like Toyama, Kanazawa, and Takaoka. easy to redeem but not all train within hokuriku area can use. JR bus usage is limited. totally can't find one that can use the pass. lucky the main senkansen line from Tokyo to Kanazawa to Osaka is usable and it worth.
Highly recommended this pass if anyone wants to cover north of Hokariku Arch area. such as Tokyo-Nagano-Toyama-Kyoto-Osaka -Nara-Tokyo.Some of the subway JR green lines were also covered using this pass. only Mt Fuji is not covered with this pass as you have to buy a seperate ticket for that. All Shinkengan and Limited express trains you need to reserve seats. you can easily do it in the station using these passes. I ordered these passes from Simgapore and got the physical passes in just 4 days to my home. Very useful if we have multiple trips in 7 days. I would give 5 star for Klook for quick delivery.
Great pass. If you are looking to take multiple tickets of Shinkansen using this pass then it’s very beneficial. you can just approach the ticket counter to get reserve tickets for free using this pass.

It was an amzazing pass! easy to use and reserve seats for!, a lot of lines were useful, we were able to travel from osaka to kyoto and tokyo to kanazawa, and manage to enjoy the lines included, and move across japan, definetly recomend it, and fast delivery!! bougth it on monday , arrived on a thursday from the same week!
