Hokkaido: Meditation, Sutra Copying Experience, and Shojin Cuisine
Meditation: Harmonize your mind and the universe through breath and stillness. Beginners are very welcome. Sutra Copying: Experience “writing meditation.” Focus on each stroke to cultivate inner peace and clarity. Cuisine: We gratefully arrange and offer traditional Koyasan recipes, appreciating the blessings of the season.
What to expect
A special Zen experience at a temple in Chitose, Hokkaido. A monk who trained at Mount Koya will guide you carefully, and English support is available. Through meditation, you can calm your mind and body with breathing and silence, and through sutra copying, you can soothe your mind by transcribing characters. You can also enjoy shojin ryori (vegetarian cuisine) made with seasonal ingredients. It’s a peaceful time to get away from daily life and center yourself, and even beginners can participate with peace of mind.
