The whole experience was amazing, initially I was a little skeptical as it is a newly added tour in klook, however, the operator guided me pre trip by providing detailed and swift replies on any queries that I had and did all the necessary paperwork/permits. My guide, Kevin was exceptionally accommodative and patient despite not being able to speak english fluently. He is passionate on his work and even put in the extra mile though constant engagement and providing all the information and help thoughout the trip. I believe he is the best guide you ever needed. - Regarding time difference: Xinjiang has a 2-hour time difference with inland China. You need to adapt to the living habits. Lunch is from 14:00-15:00, and it gets dark from 21:30-22:00. Hotel breakfast usually starts at 8:30, lunch is from 13:00-14:30, and dinner is around 19:30-20:30.
- Regarding climate: Xinjiang has a large temperature difference between day and night. The continental semi-arid climate is typical of Xinjiang. Typically, it's "hot during the day, cold at night." Taxian has a higher altitude, so the temperature will be lower. You should still bring a storm jacket or a thick coat. Sun protection: Xinjiang's ultraviolet rays are very strong, so be sure to prepare sun protection equipment in advance. Sunscreen with SPF 50+ is recommended. After arriving in Xinjiang, your body will need a lot of hydration, especially for women.
- Regarding altitude: The altitude of Taxian in Southern Xinjiang is around 3000+ meters, Baisha Lake is 3300 meters, Muztagh Ata Glacier Park is 4688 meters, and Mujihuo Volcano is 3680 meters. If you have altitude sickness or feel unwell, it is not recommended to participate, or you should carry high-altitude medication and oxygen equipment.
- Regarding ethnic minorities: Southern Xinjiang has many ethnic minorities. Our itinerary mainly includes Uyghurs, Tajiks, and Kyrgyz. Ethnic minorities have strong religious beliefs, and there are many religious ceremonies in Xinjiang. Please do not intentionally stop to watch or overly focus on their personal lives during the trip. If you want to take photos of ethnic minorities, you must obtain their consent first. Taxian is relatively underdeveloped in all aspects, so we can prepare some stationery to give to local children, who are all very friendly.
- Regarding dining: 1. Xinjiang's staple food is mainly pasta. Xinjiang's lamb is mainly mutton, which has no gamey smell and is tender. Many tourists fall in love with the lamb here. 2. For lunch every day, there are various dining options in the scenic area, or you can bring your own self-heating food or snacks like naan. For dinner, staff will recommend local delicacies, which you can share with your travel companions or enjoy individually.
- Regarding network tips: Xinjiang has 4G-5G networks, but the signal is poor in remote areas. Also, network security is highly valued in Xinjiang, and you cannot log in to foreign websites.
- Regarding border passes: Xinjiang is located in the western border region of China. Border passes are required for places like Tashkurgan in Southern Xinjiang, the westernmost point of China, and Mujihuo Volcano. There are two ways to apply for a border pass: one is to apply temporarily locally after arriving in Xinjiang (you can apply directly at the airport hall in Kashgar). The second is to apply uniformly at the certificate processing center in your place of residence before departure. If you don't know what to fill in, ask the staff to fill in "all possible tourist destinations in Xinjiang." The first method may delay the next day's itinerary if there is a late flight. The second method is a one-time process and is recommended. Both methods are free and only require an ID card.

- Carry essential items: Prepare some essential items according to your travel needs, such as a mobile phone charger, sunscreen, umbrella, etc.
- Please carry some cash with you. Although most places in Xinjiang accept Alipay and WeChat QR code payments, mobile network signals can be poor, and sometimes you may not be able to connect to the internet, making cash transactions more convenient.

- Do not carry any controlled knives: fruit knives, or Yengisar knives purchased during the trip are not allowed. For purchased handicrafts, you can ask the seller to mail them directly home. In addition, please try not to carry some outdoor items, such as gas canisters and trekking poles.
