Lake Yamanakako Lake Yamanakako, the largest and highest in elevation among the Fuji Five Lakes, is one of the most important locations for enjoying views of Mount Fuji throughout the year. The lakeside promenade is flat and comfortable, perfect for a leisurely stroll, taking photos, and getting close to nature. Visiting the lake in spring, with its fresh air, the reflection of the mountains and clouds on the lake’s surface, and the distant view of Mount Fuji, creates a serene and healing lakeside atmosphere.
Oshino Hakkai Oshino Hakkai, located in Yamanashi Prefecture, consists of eight clear spring ponds formed by Mount Fuji’s melted snow filtering through the ground for many years. It is designated as a Natural Monument of Japan and is also one of the “100 Famous Waters.” The spring ponds are crystal clear and the water is a deep blue, earning them the nickname “Japan’s Fairyland Water Mirror” from travelers.
Kawaguchiko Lawson Convenience Store This is one of Japan’s most iconic convenience store photo spots. Its most distinctive feature is that, when viewed from in front of the store, Mount Fuji appears to rise directly from the convenience store’s roof, attracting a large number of tourists to take photos.
Oishi Park *From November 1st to November 23rd, the destination will be changed to: Kawaguchiko Maple Corridor (The maple season will vary depending on the time of year) This flower park on the northern shore of Lake Kawaguchiko offers magnificent views of Mount Fuji alongside seasonal flower fields. In summer, there are lavender and sunflowers; in autumn, cosmos and autumn leaves, making it a favorite spot for photography enthusiasts.
Saiko Iyashi no Sato Nenba Step back in time to a Japanese mountain village from a hundred years ago! At the foot of Mount Fuji, experience the most “Japanese-style” charming thatched-roof village – Iyashi no Sato Nenba. This is not just a beautiful landscape, but also a “mind, body, and soul journey” deep into Japanese culture.
Lake Motosuko Shibazakura Festival (Seasonal) The “Lake Motosuko Shibazakura Festival” (Fuji Shibazakura Matsuri) is one of the most representative spring flower events in the Fuji Five Lakes region, open for a limited period each spring. The park cultivates over 800,000 shibazakura plants in various colors including pink, magenta, and white. When in full bloom, they resemble a colorful carpet. You can stroll along the fragrant outdoor paths, photograph the shibazakura flower sea with Mount Fuji as a backdrop, and also enjoy seasonal delicacies and unique souvenirs within the park, experiencing a breathtaking scenery only available in spring.
