A-eee Hair Salon: Haircut & Perm for Men & Women

I had a great experience with A-eee! I initially booked the styling, not realizing it didn’t come with a haircut oops so when I asked him if I could get a haircut too he was very accommodating (I was also lucky he was available for that time). I showed him a photo of a hairstyle I wanted to try and he talked about how we’d go about it. He suggested maybe trying a down perm which I welcomed and eventually tried (for the first time ever). Throughout the cut/ perm he was explaining each step and gave me tips on how to style it and even recommend some products that I eventually got at the Olive Young across the street. He was very polite, funny and warm! We had great conversations and you could tell how knowledgeable he was with this. Overall, amazing experience! Would highly recommend and I’ll definitely go back next time I’m back in Korea!

This is a one-on-one service, with a dedicated stylist handling everything from cut and perm to styling. The treatment takes place in an almost private setting. From the initial consultation, they listened carefully to what I wanted and provided excellent suggestions, which made me feel at ease, even when using a translation app for communication. The salon atmosphere was great, and of course, the skill was superb. They even taught me how to do aftercare and gave me styling tips. I'm extremely satisfied! The salon is also easy to find, about a 5-minute walk from Hongdae Entrance Station Exit 9, on the second floor of the building diagonally across from Olive Young.

This review is about my son’s first perm experience, and Aeee was amazing. We accidentally booked the wrong package, but he graciously corrected it and only charged the difference. Despite limited English, he clearly communicated his plan (using a translation app) and was incredibly patient throughout the entire process. While waiting for the solution to process and my son’s hair to curl, Aeee kindly offered to wash and style my daughter’s hair as a complimentary service—such a thoughtful gesture. Both my son and daughter loved the results and gave it four thumbs up. Great service, excellent communication, and highly recommended!

I had a layered bob done with a straightening perm with A-eee several weeks ago and I’m absolutely in love! A-eee was so professional and awesome to work with. I appreciated how he took lots of care to make sure I got the hair I wanted. He was so kind as well and I had such a pleasant experience with him. I’m definitely returning next time I’m in Seoul. 10/10 would recommend this gem of a place!

It was a good experience. I got a Korean-style haircut, but unfortunately, due to my job, I couldn't get the most authentic Korean hairstyle. The stylist was very patient and could communicate in English. Even if you don't speak English, it's fine; you can use a translation app. It was excellent. They told me how to style my hair and recommended that I buy the styling product at Olive Young.
