We had a great time at the Biwako Valley Ski Resort. It’s actually a good decision to book from klook for a hassle free trip. We booked the package with ski gear and wear but you can exchange ski gear to snowboard for a minimal fee so you can try both activities.
The tour was okay for me. Though I was not able to explore the whole place but I will recommend this for those folks who wants to ski.
Taking advantage of the half-price promotion this time was a great deal; we bought 4 tickets for the whole family, including the kids. The advantage is flexibility, as you can decide whether to rent equipment on-site depending on the situation. Changing from a snowboard to skis requires an additional fee of 1000 yen. Also, the cost for a 1-on-2 ski instructor on-site is 10,000 yen per hour, which is an expense but very helpful for beginners. Overall, purchasing at half price offers extremely high value for the money. I recommend planning your equipment needs in advance to save on on-site change fees.
Overall, everything was very smooth. The departure time, the time for skiing, and the arrival time were all just right. The guide was also very kind. This tour is very convenient and recommended for people who don't drive themselves.

Very nice experience; the snow is very good.
It was very foggy and raining below the mountain. Nevertheless, the experience was fantastic! Our english tourguide Jewell was very welcoming, accomodating, responsive and caring to their tourists. Be reminded of the meet-up time because they are really strict, though they're giving a few minutes grace period, it is nice to come on time. Will surely comeback and choose Limon as our guide to our next season Japan tour
Good to know
- It’s colder at the mountaintop. Dress in layers and use waterproof outerwear—especially for kids playing in the snow.
- Bring a waterproof pouch so you can safely take photos while playing or skiing.
- While food is available on the mountain, having a few snacks handy is great for quick breaks in the snow play zone.
