Cocoon Thai Massage at The Upperground Chatuchak Bangkok

It was such a wonderful experience to enjoy an authentic Thai massage at the hotel where I’m staying. The atmosphere was calm and soothing, and the massage left me feeling completely relaxed and rejuvenated. It’s definitely something I’d recommend to anyone visiting, an experience you shouldn’t miss!

I prefer strong massages, and although I didn't request it, I was assigned a male therapist. Thanks to that, I was able to get a massage that was as strong as a meridian massage. The front desk staff speaks English, so even though I only know "thank you" and "hello" in Thai, communication was still possible. I liked that I could change clothes in the massage room and store my belongings in the same place, so there was no risk of losing anything.

Due to a flight delay, I was 20 minutes late and missed my massage ㅠㅠ. I'm so disappointed, but they kindly processed a refund for me. Also, even though it's located inside the hotel, the directions weren't as clear as I expected, and the signs were too small, making it difficult to find. I wish I could have used it.

Very nice and peaceful place

The masseuses are very professional, hitting all the right spots with just the right amount of pressure – so relaxing I fell asleep. The three of us went together, and all three masseuses were professional. The quality wasn't uneven like it is at small, roadside shops.

Quiet massage place with good service and massage

I'm staying in a hotel on the 6th floor, and I booked a 90-minute Thai massage for 8:30 pm. It's very convenient to take the hotel elevator to the 4th floor for the massage. Although the price isn't too expensive, the value for money isn't great: - Our backpacks and belongings were placed on the floor at the reception desk and given back to us after the massage, which felt very unsafe and casual. - The welcome drink was plum juice (?!). After sitting down and taking a sip, we were rushed to wash our feet. Afterwards, we were given a small packet of egg rolls and a cup of tea, which was very difficult to drink. - My friend and I were massaged by an older female masseuse and a male masseuse, respectively. The male masseuse was pretty good; even if the pressure was too strong, he would reduce the pressure after being reminded and would ask if it was okay throughout the process. The female masseuse's massage pressure was uneven, and she would hold me to turn around. The rhythm was also sometimes fast and sometimes slow. The shoulder and neck area was massaged well, but the feet were massaged very generally. - The shop is next to a large shopping mall, Wintage. On Sunday evening, the singing from the mall next door was very loud. We could hear very noisy music throughout the entire time before 9:30 pm, making it difficult to relax and rest during the massage. - We were sleeping on a mattress laid on the floor for the massage. Since there wasn't a hole in the mattress, when they massaged our backs, we were facing the mattress, and our necks were pressed down, which was very uncomfortable.

Masseuse: The auntie was just slacking off during the day, I didn't feel like I got a proper massage at all. It was really terrible. The male masseuse had just the right amount of pressure, my friend raved about him! If my friend hadn't mentioned it, I really would have only given 1 star! I want to mention to everyone that the wraps they provide are super delicious! But I couldn't find where to buy them (see attached picture).

Masseuse: The auntie was just slacking off in broad daylight, I didn't feel like I was getting a proper massage at all. Really terrible. The male masseuse's pressure was just right, my friend raved about him! If my friend hadn't mentioned it, I really would have only given it 1 star!
