Review for: Datong Departure: 50-Person Group (Optional Hanging Temple Visit at Own Expense)

Visiting three attractions at a relaxed pace was very enjoyable. The Yingxian Wooden Pagoda, the Hanging Temple (must climb to the top! We did!), and the Yungang Grottoes were all stunning! Our guide, Yao Yanan, was very attentive and responsible, and also recommended many good local places to eat. The tour bus was very comfortable and spacious. There was no forced spending whatsoever. Moreover, the tour guide's explanations were extremely detailed and thorough, covering many knowledge points, far exceeding other guides I have encountered!

Had a great trip! Our guide, Xiao Hou, was knowledgeable and also managed to group and itinerary well. Just to note that those above 60 years old have their entrance fee waived, and are unable to ascend the hanging temples.

Everything was great, honestly. Even though the excursion was in Chinese, they explained everything to us in detail using a translator. We were very, very happy with it.

Review for: Datong Departure: 50-Person Group (Optional Hanging Temple Visit at Own Expense)

Being able to visit these three important thousand-year-old cultural heritage sites in Shanxi in one day is incredibly worthwhile. Furthermore, the tour guide was very professional, providing us with a wealth of knowledge on historical backgrounds, architecture, and art. The information was exceptionally valuable, especially at the Yungang Grottoes, where the guide led us through each cave, showcasing these cultural and artistic treasures that have survived from the Northern Wei Dynasty. It was truly worth every penny!
