Love nature and cycling? Book this! The air was fresh and crisp, the water was clear and sparkling, the autumn colours are just beautiful. The ginko leaves falling in the temple was magical. We bought tasty snacks from Kurochaya and met two lovely local ladies (They have such sweet smiles!). We got to have a lovely sandwich lunch (provided in the tour - you can buy snacks along the way if you’re still hungry) while chilling by the riverside, seated in camping chairs. Loved the short river trek (the gear provided will keep you warm from the cold water) to reach the waterfall which was nested within a little spring area - really pretty! We also got a chance to soak our feet in a foot bath and passed by the pig cafe. The star of the tour? Kenji, our tour guide - He taught us how to skip stones, shared interesting facts and has a love for nature. It was such a pleasure to meet him and spend the day guided by him. Would love to return to Itsukaichi and have him as our guide again!

One of the best tours I’ve ever been on. I got to experience a breath of the countryside and visit a shrine, river, open fields, forest, and a waterfall—along with stunning autumn foliage. If you want a beautiful, authentic tour of Japan with only locals and no tourists, I highly recommend this one.

An absolutely fantastic experience, highly recommended! Our guide, Kenji, was incredibly friendly. I was the only person on the tour today, and I mistakenly took the wrong train, arriving 20 minutes late. Kenji was still patient and took me through the entire itinerary. The guide's equipment for guests was very complete, new, and clean. During Tokyo's most beautiful autumn foliage season, we cycled along the river, through village lanes, and through the fields. We also went stream tracing, had a picnic by the river, tasted famous local snacks, and finally went to a hot spring foot bath. The bicycle was very easy to ride, and the whole trip had a comfortable pace. My mouth, eyes, and body were all very satisfied! Kenji runs his own outdoor shop, which offers guided tours, simple meals and coffee, and shower facilities for trail runners. I highly recommend that everyone come and have fun with Kenji!

Kenji was very polite, helpful, and patient. He showed us everything, like the waterfall and the temple, and even waited on line for us for 30 minutes while we went exploring on our own near the river. He also ordered drinks for us in Japanese and acted as our translator with food vendors. Couldn't have been more interesting and helpful.

If you would like to explore the countryside of Tokyo, this tour is definitely a good choice. I was able to visit the nice rivers and fields and mountains and some local shops around the area through this bike trip. A nice lunch box and water trekking to an amazing waterfall scenery were also included! The guide Kenji is a very friendly guy who tried his best to introduce the area and the locals. It is a very authentic and enjoyable experience. I highly recommend this trip to those who are interested in biking and would like to see a different side of the Tokyo.

what a fantastic experience! If you are looking for the gorgeous nature of Japan, I don’t think there is a better tour. There is no way that someone who doesn’t know the area could have organised this themselves. Everything was planned perfectly throughout the entire experience. if you’re questioning whether the train travel to get there from Tokyo is worth it, absolutely!
