Manga Creation Experience with a Pro Artist (Ikebukuro)

I enjoyed my lesson here. I came for moral support for my husband and had a wonderful time myself. The teachers were awesome and made sure no one got left behind. I was so happy they let us in to the class even though we were 15 minutes late. I would highly recommend for the experience. Here's my before and after.

Signed up for a unique birthday experience and it truly was special! The session was led by Kazuo Maekawa, the brilliant artist behind globally renowned works like Ace Attorney and Ace Attorney Investigations. Over two well-structured hours, we learned the fundamentals of manga drawing in a clear and engaging way. A translator was present throughout, so the language barrier was never an issue. Highly recommended for anyone interested in manga or illustration!

This was a really enjoyable activity if you are looking for something a bit slower to do. My 13yo anime/manga loving son enjoyed it and so did I. The teacher was very encouraging and the lesson and workbook easy to follow, providing the basics to get started with manga. The English translator, Nancy, was also very helpful. I would recommend to anyone looking for a manga experience even if you aren’t a confident artist.

Kazuo and his very kind interpreter were such fun! There were only two of us in the class so we got an unexpected private lesson. He taught us the background of manga, with him being a well-known, well-respected artist himself. His drawing exercises were well-thoughtout and progressed logically. This class got me inspired to find manga comics in the US and to learn how to draw better. Even though our illustrations weren't very good, we laughed through the whole lesson! Highly recommend this experience!

booked for my daughter as she loves Manga. however I also joined in and learnt a lot about how to create a manga. the instructors were both patient and excellent communication. highly recommend this activity for anyone who loves manga.

I had a great time at the manga experience. Sensei was very knowledgeable as an industry veteran and explained things in a way that was easy to understand. By no means am I an artist but under Sensei’s guidance even I was able to draw something I can be proud of.
