One-Day Tour from Shanghai: Xitang Daytime Sightseeing + Wuzhen Xizha Night View

Itinerary: Your tour guide will pick you up from your hotel or apartment. Travel to Xitang, Shanghai (approx. 1.5 hours). 10:30 Arrive in Xitang, and take a guided tour of Xitang. We will take you along the [Covered Walkway] to the center of Xitang. 11:00 [Stone Lane Exploration]: This is the narrowest alley in Xitang, measuring 80 centimeters wide! Further down the lane, you’ll find a rice shop and a tea house. 11:30 Xiyuan Garden is the former residence of a wealthy family. As you step over the knee-high threshold, you’ll be amazed by the splendor of the garden! There’s also a pond and even some rock features. A folding fan is displayed in the room. 12:00 [Lunch]: Enjoy local Xitang cuisine such as “Duck Wonton Soup” for lunch. 13:10 [Button Museum]: Xitang is home to numerous button manufacturing enterprises, accounting for 40% of the national production! The museum exhibits approximately 1,000 buttons, dating from the Han Dynasty to the present day. 13:30 The Tile Museum showcases over 300 historical tiles, along with plaques indicating their usage and year. 14:00 [Free Time]: After lunch, enjoy free time to wander around the water town of Xitang. 15:00 Transfer from Xitang to Wuzhen (approx. 1 hour). 16:20 Visit [Wuzhen West Scenic Zone]. 16:30 Caomu Bense Indigo Workshop A large-scale natural plant dyeing studio covering an area of 2,500 square meters. The iconic feature is the swaying dyed fabrics hanging to dry on tall poles. The specialty here is colorful indigo-dyed calico, a traditional Wuzhen craft made using local plants such as tea leaves and mulberry bark for colored dyeing. The workshop introduces the process from design to dyeing, as well as actual tools and dyes, making it very interesting. 17:30 [Dinner]: Enjoy local Wuzhen cuisine for dinner, including Dongpo Pork. 18:30 [Free Time]: After dinner, enjoy free time. Admire the night view of Wuzhen West Scenic Zone. 19:20 Return to Shanghai (approx. 2 hours).
