-Itinerary Introduction-
Konosu Fireworks Festival “Konosu Fireworks” is the most representative fireworks display in Saitama Prefecture. It was originally organized by the local Junior Chamber International to revitalize the local economy and to give local children dreams. It has since evolved into a huge fireworks display with more than 600,000 participants every year! Unlike other fireworks displays held in the summer, the Konosu Fireworks Festival is held in October, allowing visitors to comfortably enjoy the brilliant fireworks in the cool weather. In 2014, the festival launched the world’s largest “Yonshakudama” and was recognized by the Guinness World Records. In addition, the 300 consecutive launches of the “Phoenix Frenzy,” which turns the night sky into a sea of fireworks, is one of its major features and is the largest fireworks display in Kanto in early autumn every year!
Hitachi Seaside Park Hitachi Seaside Park has more than 30,000 Kochia scoparia and millions of flowers on “Miharashi Hill” with an area of approximately three hectares. The 200-hectare park has different flowers planted in different seasons. In summer, the Kochia scoparia is green and boundless. In autumn, the Kochia scoparia has red-green gradients. In autumn, the Kochia scoparia is all red, as if competing with maple leaves for attention, which is breathtaking.
Oarai Isosaki Shrine Oarai Isosaki Shrine is famous as one of Japan’s leading sunrise spots and a sacred place for viewing the sea. At Oarai Isosaki Shrine, there is the “Kamiso Torii,” a gate erected on a rock in the Pacific Ocean, with the waves hitting the rocks as a backdrop. Don’t miss the magnificent view!
Sakatsuisosaki Shrine Sakatsuisosaki Shrine is located on the coast in the eastern part of Ibaraki Prefecture, facing Oarai Isosaki Shrine, and was founded in the same era. The shrine is lined with 300-year-old trees, and the natural scenery is not to be missed. In recent years, Sakatsuisosaki Shrine has been known for its “winning luck.” In the past few years, the lottery ticket sales office, which was responsible for the rituals and prayers by the shrine’s priests and witches, has had a total winning amount of more than 6 billion yen, and is considered by the local Japanese to be a shrine that cannot be missed when worshiping the god of wealth!
