Highlights ⚡ You can join me at the morning/night market to pick out your favorite fresh vegetables. ⚡ You can participate on your own or bring a friend. We can chat over tea, share noodle culture, and talk about life. ⚡ Enjoy complimentary samples of my homemade yogurt, fresh juice, wine, and more. ⚡ The ingredients, including grains, beans, peanuts, sesame seeds, sesame oil, and sesame paste, are all grown by my mother especially for me.
What to expect
Experience Introduction
As a northerner who loves pasta, how can I not know how to make all kinds of pasta? In modern life, living in big cities, we often buy all kinds of machine-made pasta. Basically, no young people can make it anymore. Our experience includes teaching eatwith partners how to make traditional Chinese pasta by hand, including chewy and smooth hand-pulled noodles, various fancy buns, dumplings, and fried boxes. If you are also a pasta lover who wants to try to explore and learn how to make handmade pasta and meet more pasta-loving friends from all over the world to discuss and exchange ideas, you are welcome to join and experience my cooking sharing. Of course, if you want the meal to contain meat, you can also let me know in advance after booking, and I will try my best to arrange it. Experience Venue Approximately 15 minutes’ drive from Universal Studios.
Experience Process
Whether you take the subway or a taxi, I will personally pick you up/drop you off at the subway entrance and the door. You will go directly to my home to participate in the experience, regardless of whether you can cook or have any cooking skills. As long as you are interested in pasta and have a foodie's stomach and heart, you can come.
* Arrive at my home around 11:00 for lunch (around 5:00 for dinner).
- If you are interested or have plenty of time, I will take you to the local morning and evening markets to buy fresh cooking ingredients together. You can also learn and exchange food culture with local villagers.
- I will lead everyone to participate in the in-depth experience of all the details (showing guests the secrets of pasta making without reservation). Other Precautions Please let me know in advance if you have any dietary restrictions.
Please be sure to let me know in advance if you are allergic to gluten in the flour; Need to inform me of any dietary restrictions on vegetable marinades; Wear comfortable clothes, ladies can choose beautiful clothes appropriately; Try not to wear rings, bracelets, and nails should not be too long; Please tell me in advance which vegetables you like best, and I will go to the early market to buy all kinds of fresh vegetables in the morning.

- The more people, the longer the delicious time! The entire process takes 4-6 hours (1-2 people) or 5-8 hours (3-5 people) to ensure that each guest can fully participate.

Rabbit is a passionate woman who greeted me at the subway station and then took me to a nearby traditional market to buy ingredients. The market in Beijing sells some things that are different from Taiwan. I saw many ingredients I had never seen before, like purple and green radishes. It was so interesting. Rabbit is very talkative and can talk about anything. She also showed me many different cultures and lifestyles. Then we went to Rabbit's house, a very clean and elegant Beijing residence, where we started making dumplings from flour. We made the dumpling wrappers and the filling. I was amazed by the northerners' attention to detail when it comes to dumpling wrappers and the order in which the fillings are mixed. Although my family also makes dumplings, it's a method I've never known. I was very excited to gain these valuable experiences and knowledge from Teacher Rabbit. Later, we enjoyed the fruits of our labor together. Wow, it was a moving feast. I have never eaten dumplings that were so chewy (Beijingers say "筋道," or "jindao"). They were springy and delicious. In addition, the handmade tofu we bought from the local market had a charming, smoky aroma that added a wonderful touch to the already delicious dumplings. Thank you very much, Teacher Rabbit. This day was truly fulfilling and enriching. Highly recommended.
I had a wonderful time! it was a relaxing, easy and memorable experience. we visited the local fruit & vege market to get ingredients and made the dumplings - from flour and water, cooking and mixing filling, putting filling into the dough then boiling... it was very fresh and healthy. highly recommend if you want a homemade, classic meal. host is friendly, laidback and helpful.
Rabbit is such an amazing person! She kindly and precisely told me how to cook authentic Chinese cuisine. Taking a picture a lot, talking with her a lot, everything was milaculously fun! Definitely recommended!
I had the absolute most amazing experience. Rabbit is above all a wonderful human being who is so insightful in Chinese cuisine. I really enjoyed going to the market and gathering the ingredients. Also, I spotted one of my favorite vegetables which we incorporated into our meal as a side we made vegetarian dumplings for the main dish. They were absolutely stunning. We used chili crisp that she made from ingredients her mother grew. The experience was immersive, and I will forever be grateful for making a new friend and getting to share stories over food. That is what traveling is about food, stories and friendship. The second I come back to China. I am booking this cooking class again. You will not regret your decision, book with Rabbit.
The entire expirence hasn’t been less than marvellous 🤩 it’s not “just” a cooking class but has been a whole entire day spent with locals learning about chinese culture and lifestyle in Beijing. Me and my husband Luca were welcomed in the very best way from Rabbit and her wonderful friends, visited the local morning market, went to her beautiful home, chatted in front of a good l tea and some fruits and then started cooking all together. We prepared cold and warm noodles but also Rabbit has been so kind to satisfy our wishes and we prepared Baozi, local vegetables, skin tofu, all vegan and super tasty 😍we skipped one day of visiting and sigthseeing but what we gained was definitely precious. We learnt from the real people of this country and lived an amazing slow day far from the crowds. We deeply recommend Rabbit that is a super nice warm person 🥰 we made a new friend!
I have had the best time with Rabbit!! it was my best experience so far in Beijing. At home i always love to cook and Rabbit thought me how to make dumplings and other Chinese Dishes. We first went to the foodmarket toghether where I could pick the ingredients I liked. than we spent a lot of time talking and making dumplings and cooking of course!! We had so much food and I loved everything. She also gave me boxes to take home the food which was left. it was such an amazing experience to cook 1 by 1 with an amazing, lovely woman! Thank you for an amazing cooking class. We went to the market to pick the vegetables and I got to ask questions about the fruit and veg I've never tried before and try them later. It was great to learn a bit more about Chinese cuisine. Thanks again.

The cooking class was great. In the morning, we went together to a local market to buy the ingredients for the dumplings. Afterwards, we went to Rabbit's place and first drank tea together, and then we started preparing everything. I was able to learn how to make the dough and the filling, as well as how to shape them. We also cooked many different vegetable dishes such as lotus and winter melon. We spent the whole day together and it was a wonderful experience. I was also happy that everything was prepared vegan.
