What to expect
The 5th Station is located halfway up Mount Fuji at an altitude of 2,305M. From the 5th Station, you can enjoy views of Mount Fuji’s summit, and on cloudy days, you can see a vast sea of clouds. In June 2013, the 37th World Heritage Committee approved the inclusion of Mount Fuji in the UNESCO “World Heritage List,” making it a World Cultural Heritage site in Japan. Lake Kawaguchiko offers a magnificent view of Mount Fuji, and on clear days, you might even see the “Sakasa Fuji” (inverted Fuji) perfectly reflected on the lake’s surface! The bus will stop at [Kawaguchiko Craft Park], where you can clearly overlook Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchiko. Hikawa Tokeiten, located on Honcho-dori at the foot of Mount Fuji, is an excellent street rich in history and culture. Whether you’re looking for a leisurely stroll or unique souvenirs, Honcho-dori can meet your needs. In recent years, it has become a popular spot for influencers and photography enthusiasts, with many beautiful moments widely circulated on social media. Oshino Hakkai is said to have existed as early as 1200 years ago and is designated as a National Natural Monument, one of Japan’s 100 Famous Waters, and one of the New 100 Views of Fuji. Hakkai refers to eight ponds, and the area is designated as a National Natural Scenic Area. In 1985, it was listed among “Japan’s 100 Famous Waters” and is known as Japan’s Jiuzhaigou. These lakes are formed by melted snow from Mount Fuji filtered through geological layers. The average temperature of the spring water is about 13℃, and the water quality is clear and sweet.

Because we stayed near Asakusa this time, we could choose to meet in Ueno with this plan. The transportation distance was very convenient. This time we went to the Fifth Station, Lake Kawaguchi, the Hikawa Watch Shop, and Oshino Hakkai. The view of Mount Fuji at each point was different, but they were all very beautiful and good for taking pictures!
The itinerary of this one-day trip to Mount Fuji was very tight. Along the way, our tour guide Xiao Pan explained things very seriously and took the initiative to take photos for our family. We were lucky to arrive at Oshino Hakkai in the morning and see the full view of Mount Fuji very clearly. It was a rare experience! Will go again next time!
Unfortunately, we encountered the outer bands of a typhoon, and the weather was terrible. We couldn't see Mount Fuji, nor could we go to the 5th Station, which was a real shame! Hopefully, we'll have another chance to visit the Fuji Five Lakes in the future!
The driver and the tour guide are very kind. The tour guide will introduce in detail the delicious food, fun and shopping at every point, as well as the local shopping malls, etc. It’s great 👍 We are very satisfied!
okay but a bit rushing due to time constraints.. however get to see the Mount Fuji.. best time to view is during winter
very good tour we had even the weather is not in our favour. A must for first timer who want to vist mouth fuji.
Choose Ueno Station to meet up on the day. There are many group tours, so you can ask more and you won’t find the wrong tour guide! The weather was very good that day, and I was full of views of Mount Fuji! Like, like, like
The instructor was very familiar with the routes and attractions. He shared with us where the best places to take photos were and also told us where souvenirs were cheapest. Highly recommend this trip 👍🏻
Friends commented that the trip started at 7:30 in the morning and was completed at 9:30 in the evening. The whole journey took 14 hours. There are also traffic jams on the expressways during the long holidays in Japan. During the long holidays, it is more convenient to take a one-day tour than to drive by yourself. At least you can rest in the car. It’s cost-effective to visit several scenic spots in one day.
The price good value for the nice views of Mount Fuji. But the itinerary was such rush , each place less than an hour expect when break for lunch. Reached back Shinjuku Post Office at 4:15pm when itinerary in oackage said 5:30 earliest.. If each place especially Mt Fuji 5th station and Oshino Hakkai Park allow more time, it really value worthy package.
