What to expect
It is recommended to start early in the in the morning in order to feel the morning vibe during the trek (with the possibility of viewing the sunrise upon request). Selogriyo Temple is located inside the village areas, trekking through the rice fields and local homes. Then, continue the journey to view Kedung Kayang Waterfall with Merapi Volcano in the background (on clear days). Optional visits to either Borobudur Temple or partake in the Merapi Jeep Ride (own expenses for the optional tours)
Located between Mount Merapi and Merbabu, the freshness of the water and the coolness of the air are two things you will get there

Review for: Private Tour (optional Borobudur Temple)
This tour was a great way to get out of the city and temple route, see the countryside, and get into nature. The temple and waterfall were gorgeous and hiking to them was beautiful. The driver Romy was amazing. He was fun, informative, and attentive. He was also adventurous and happy to wade through a rushing river to see the waterfall when the bridge was washed out. Romy made a good day into a great day. General note: the tour definitely requires a level of fitness as there is a fair bit of hiking and climbing but it is absolutely worth it
