[Warm Tips for Mount Kailash Trekking]

1. Suitable seasons for Mount Kailash Kora (pilgrimage circuit): Late April to October. Winter (November to March) has harsh weather and extremely low temperatures, making it unsuitable for Kora.
2. Supplies and equipment: (1) Backpack and hiking shoes (2) Disposable slippers, raincoat or waterproof jacket (3) Trekking poles, windproof headscarf, gloves, sun hat, and sunglasses (4) High-SPF sunscreen, simple toiletries (only simple brushing and face washing along the way), personal skincare products (moisturizer, lip balm, etc.) (5) Water bottle or thermos, high-calorie snacks (such as chocolate, energy bars, etc.) (6) Mosquito repellent, self-prepared small personal first-aid kit (such as band-aids, cold medicine, etc.) (7) Power bank…
3. Accommodation along the way: In recent years, the facilities along the Mount Kailash Kora route have become increasingly mature, and the conditions of local guesthouses are much better than before. Whether to bring a sleeping bag depends on the needs of different tourists. Generally, accommodation points basically provide one quilt and one blanket per bed. Tourists who do not have very high hygiene requirements may not need to bring a sleeping bag.
4. Food supply: There are many supply points along the way, providing food such as sweet tea, instant noodles, snacks, mineral water, beverages, boiled water, etc.
5. Safety precautions: (1) There may be wild dogs and wild animals along the Kora route, but they generally do not actively attack people; however, for your own safety, please do not actively show kindness to or feed wild dogs and wild animals. (2) The local tourist service center provides paid rescue vehicles. If you feel unwell or are unable to complete the trek during the Kora, you can call a car to return to Darchen. The rescue vehicle can go as far as Zhire Monastery/Gangja (the first night’s accommodation point for the Kora) or Immovable Nail (a supply point after descending from Dolma La Pass). The cost of the rescue vehicle is subject to local display. (3) Mount Kailash Scenic Area provides paid rental services for horses, porters, yaks, and yak handlers. Prices are subject to the scenic area’s official announcement.

1. For group tours, there may be changes in vehicles and guides. We appreciate your understanding.
2. Each person is limited to 1 piece of 26-inch luggage + 1 carry-on backpack.
3. Tickets for Potala Palace and Jokhang Temple require real-name reservations. Please follow the guide's arrangements. Thank you.
4. Free airport/train station pick-up/drop-off times on fixed departure and end dates:
5. (1) Flight (Lhasa Gonggar Airport): Free pick-up (for flights arriving between 08:00 am and 10:00 pm); Free drop-off (for flights departing between 08:30 am and 10:30 pm);
6. (2) Train (Lhasa Railway Station): Free pick-up/drop-off for trains.
7. If tourists need to arrive in Lhasa before our agency's fixed departure date or depart from Tibet after the end date, an additional fee for separate pick-up/drop-off will be charged.
8. If the tourist's booked flight is not within the free pick-up/drop-off times, an additional fee for separate pick-up/drop-off will be charged.
9. This itinerary is a group tour. During pick-up and drop-off, guests with similar time slots will be arranged together, and guests may wait for approximately 2 hours. One day in advance, staff or sales personnel will confirm the pick-up/drop-off time with the tourists. If tourists are unwilling to wait, they can notify the travel agency one day in advance to arrange separate pick-up/drop-off, with costs borne by themselves.
