What to expect
【Shikisai-no-Oka】 Shikisai-no-Oka boasts a vast and beautiful flower field spanning 15 hectares, resembling a seven-colored rainbow carpet, with different flowers blooming in different seasons. From late May to late October each year, over 30 varieties of flowers, including tulips, lavender, and sunflowers, bloom in competition on the rolling hills. From a distance, the vibrant colors look like a painter’s palette. There are also giant, adorable scarecrows standing in the flower fields. 【Shirogane Blue Pond】 Formed by a dam built to intercept volcanic magma, the pond’s water reflects a blue color under the sunlight, hence its name. Approaching Biei Blue Pond is like entering a fairyland, with a hazy beauty shrouded in mist, earning it the nickname “Japan’s Little Jiuzhaigou.” 【Shirhige Waterfall】 Named “Shirhige Waterfall” (White Beard Waterfall) because the water cascades down from cracks in the rocks like a white beard. Water gushing from underground strikes the rocks, creating splashes that glow with a blue light. Here, you can enjoy the striking contrast between the lush green mountains and clear waters in summer and the snow-covered landscape in winter. 【Farm Tomita】 One of Japan’s oldest flower fields, it has evolved from primarily lavender to a large pastoral farm with as many as 150 varieties of flowers. The lavender blooming season typically starts in June, and the winter greenhouse opens to the public in mid-August, where you can see various plants such as lavender and geraniums.

Reviews
The tour was worthy for tourists without driving. It covered spots that you won't be able to connect in one day with only public transportation. The tour guide Jenny was informative, responsible and nice, who was genous to share and able to guide the >40 peoples tour well and end the tour on time.
My guide, jenny, was a lovely and informative guide. she shares valuable information of each stop and on top of that, places to visit and ongoing festivals in sapporo. The timing for each stop was just nice during this trip. Side note: In late may, there's only tulips, canola and lavender at the shinkisai no oka, the farm is quite bare. However, at tomita farm, it was blooming with flowers, lavender and shibazakura. The blue pond soda ice cream and lavender ice cream at farm tomita were my ice cream picks. The melon at furano herb garden(lunch place) was sweeter than the one at farm tomita. For merchandise, the lavender horse oil recommended by Jenny was really moisturising for this dry and cold weather. This is my first klook trip. Good experience so far~
i love the tour furano, blue pond, shirahige falls and tomita farm 👍👍, our guide eric is very accomodating and helpful..tulip and other flowers are beautiful..we got to see the alps covered with snow😍😍
Kevin, who speaks Chinese, English, and Japanese (impressive!), gave us a thorough overview of Hokkaido's fishing and agriculture industries. He also thoughtfully recommended various excellent products and local specialties worth buying. Although the weather wasn't great and it wasn't yet flower season in May, he prepared us for it. Seeing the Shirogane Blue Pond shrouded in mist was quite stunning, almost like a traditional Chinese painting. I highly recommend the lavender soft-serve ice cream from Herb Garden Furano; the milk and lavender flavors blend perfectly without any soapy taste. If you prefer something sweet and tart, you can try the Blue Pond Soda ice cream, which also looks beautiful in photos with its blue color.
Jenny our multilingual and English proficient Tour guide is fantastic! Kudos to her enthusiasm having constantly whatsapping me for updates a day before the tour knowing I'm a tourist with a senior citizen mom and a nephew I tag with me in this trip . Jenny has a complete mastery of the places we have been and made sure everything is in order so we all enjoyed this trip despite the bareness of the flowerfarms the frost of winter is still on the wraps! Nobody's fault ... Overall we enjoyed this tour very much. thanks klook and thanks sonmuch Jenny
amazing guide - informative, unique and fun. smooth travelling. beautiful weather and nature. we didn’t visit during peak season for the flowers to bloom but the furano area was still very beautiful. Alpaca’s were cute, please feed them. great food options in most stops (especially for ice cream).
We really loved this tour, although it’s a long drive going there but it’s all worth it. We loved seeing the live Penguins from Asahiyama Zoo, the Snowmobile experience was the best!!!! The lone Christmas Tree is sooo aesthetically nice and lastly the Nigle Terrace was beautiful especially at night. I wish we had more time. Thanks klook!
The timing allocated for the zoo is a little short but the penguin parade was worth it! our guide - Bryan was very informative in sharing more about Hokkaido and gave us tips to get around Sapporo station.
The trip was fun & wonderful, thanks to our tour guide Bryan Ryu (Long Ge). He is very organized, informative, and fluent in english & chinese. we highly recommend this trip for you who come to hokkaido and want to explore more in one day. :)
our guide was grace, she was amazing on the explanation throughout the trip and gave us tips on where would be the best photo spots and also a faster way of going to the penguin parade at the zoo! I love most on how she stick with the time so they tour isn’t delayed by others who are late! amazing guide!

PS: Due to weather conditions, the flowers at Shikisai no Oka and Farm Tomita in April-May have not fully bloomed yet and are not as beautiful as shown in the pictures. It is expected that the flowers will fully bloom after mid-June. Flower blooming is naturally affected by temperature and seasons, opening gradually in batches, and the blooming and wilting are estimated times.
