I'm glad we booked our tickets via Klook. We simply used our QR code to enter the Shinkansen gates at the station, grabbed the little paper ticket that pops out of the gate once you've scanned your QR code. Exiting out once you've reached your destination, you simply scan the same QR code you used to enter. No little paper ticket this time when you exit.

Standard seat and after the main morning rush. It was still busy but quiet onboard. An inspector kept coming through seeing if anyone was in a reserved seat that shouldn't have been which was nice to see. The train was perfectly on time and very clean.
