i was honestly skeptical on booking a hostel for my first international solo trip because of safety concerns but thankfully i never felt unsafe during my whole stay in Angels Hostel even at night or when i'm alone. The only dealbreaker for me was the common bathroom being a separate establishment outside the hostel which is kinda uncomfortable

I stayed at Angels Hostel Taipei Ximen and had a decent experience overall. It was quite packed when I checked in, probably because it was the weekend after Lunar New Year, so there were a lot of travelers. The room was full, but everything was well-organized. The bathroom was clean and properly maintained, which I really appreciated. Despite the crowd, I was still able to get a solid 5 hours of sleep before heading to the airport. Overall, it’s a convenient and practical option, especially if you need a short stay before a flight.
