Fantastic

Solo stay

Wow I loved this place as I am a fan of art and it feels like you are staying at an Art Museum by the beach. My only complaint was the only restaurant was closed by 4pm probably because it was a quiet time but there were still a few guests staying and it would have been nice to at least have it open until 5pm. I ordered my meal just before closing and got it delivered to my room. Food was excellent and staff tried very hard to make you feel at home. Got upgraded because I missed a couple of days after missing my flight and it had a fantastic view...very large room and very comfortable. No complaints and I will be back.

The hotel is located in a great location, beautiful interior, interesting architecture, the hotel really looks like a museum. But everything in the hotel requires renovation and better equipment.

Wow this is quite the quirky hotel. Crumbling grandeur is how it’d describe it. I loved the ocean being right there, you could hear the waves crashing and the sea breeze (wind) was invigorating. The pool was nice for a dip and lying on the loungers down on the sand was very relaxing. The room was huge, aircon was cool, and there is some really interesting art in the property. Everything is very run down though, all the fittings and furniture in my room, there’s a ripped up tennis courts and lots of cats (very sweet little creatures but adds to the Greek ruins vibe), there’s a sign warning to use the safe but it’s unusable. The entrance from the street is unwelcoming. It has all seen better days and it’s just a little bit creepy.

Lots of good. Very quiet and peaceful grounds. Beautiful clean pool. Old, dated, tired room that needs renovating. Very hard to find the hotel for my Uber drivers, as there are no signs on the building. Bed was hard as a rock. Coffee in the rooms would have been nice.

Caution: they charge $5 extra per day for whatever tax--not properly inform before booking on Expedia. Don't try to save $200 over other hotels! Condition: Very old and poorly maintained property. Many broken items around the hotel. The bathroom is not clean; the mattress is very old with stain on it. The blanket is non-existing as they provide a slim bed sheet only. Rust around metal fixtures everywhere. Safety: No safety lock! I didn't feel safe at all. The sliding door lock is broken!!! Property has security guard and gate, but still I didn't feel so safe here. Cleanliness: I am so glad there's no bedbug...maybe there is, but who knows. Old hotel with a lot of history, but I won't recommend. Convenience:Hot water is not hot. And during my stay, there are at least 3 days where water was turned off between 12 and 3 pm for maintenance (a good thing, tho). Restaurant is closed after 4pm and it really doesn't look like a restaurant. No AC in the lobby and they have to open the door to let air flow. Balcony bathtub you see in photos is not functional. For family, I wouldn't put kids thru this place. Read other review before you book. Cleaning ladies are nice. Front desk guys are nice. The location is great. I tipped the cleaning ladies although the room was poorly cleaned. Tip the cleaning ladies, people! Thing working best was the AC! I don't know what the plan is for this property. Look like they try to milk as much money as possible before selling it.

Fantastic

Clean and central location was nice. A little TLC and this hotel would have great potential. Not as modern as others but having a comfortable bed, working ice cold A/C and a big pool checks all the boxes for me.Never overcrowded and literally steps away from beach access is what keeps me coming back.Hotel has history with beautiful painted murals and art work throughout. My favorite place in all Cancun.
