The hotel was Clean and the breakfast buffet was awesome! The room was very basic and did not include an iron, blow dryer, microwave or refrigerator. The Ac worked great. It says parking available but it's actually a garage 2 blocks away but they do validate the parking pass.

The Location of the hotel is great and the history of it is amazing, however we will never go back. The rooms need so much attention and upgrades. We stayed 2 bedroom suite, the mattresses were so hard and both bathrooms smell like sewer and need detailed cleaning and need to change shower heads, water was going all kind of directions. It has kitchen but it’s nonfunctional, even the fridge. The suite didn’t have any amenities like iron or hair dryer, we had to leave ID in front desk to borrow them. We stayed on 3rd floor where they have a bar which is open to public, the front people told us the bar is only open til 10pm which was not true, they stayed open after midnight in one of the nights. However the hotel doesn’t own the bar so they couldn’t do anything about it.

Fantastic It was a beautiful property. The staff was incredibly helpful and attentive. We even met the owner and he was a lovely person. He should us some of the ongoing renovations and taught us a little history of the hotel. He was such a sweet person. The air conditioning was a plus and the roof top bar had a magnificent view. We stayed in a two bedroom suite which was perfect for our family of five. The breakfast at the on property restaurant was amazing. My favorite was the cafe de olla, chicharrones, fresh papaya and agua de tuna. The entire family loved every moment spent there.

This hotel is absolutely stunning, considering it was built in 1610, I was impressed at how great of shape everything was.
Our first rooms air conditioner started acting up on our first day, the staff were quick and efficient to provide us with a new room of the same option within the immediate vicinity, making the transition seem less.
The bell boy, was remarkable, his welcome did not just assist us with our bags to our room, but provided the roll of a tour guide through the building with so many historical facts about the place.
The roof top bar was incredible, great drinks and snacks, great service, and the mariachi band was incredible. The views of the cathedral and the theatre at night should not be missed.
Overall, walking distance to all the main Centro attractions, I wouldn’t suggest staying anywhere else. This hotel felt like we had walked back into the history ourselves, which truly added to our time in the city.
