ended w a chinese speaking guide. luckily we are able to converse in mandarin so the private tour was enjoyable. James is very helpful and accomodated to our request as Hwadam forest was closed for winter. he brought us to Lovely Runner drama sites and 2529 paldamun gate and gwangmyeong cave.

A good tour and our driver/guide, Jake took great care of us. While on the way back, the vehicle we were on emitted smoke but Jake was able to handle the situation v well. Luckily, we were already back in Seoul. Jake dropped us off at the nearest train station and ensured all of us got off the vehicle safely.

The cave was interesting and we were the only 2 groups of tourist there. Same goes for the Korean folk village with half of the attractions and restaurants were closed/not fully functioning. Ends up having more fun at the rides in the park with no queue. The driver was flexible and accommodating to our request to go to Suwon Starfield. He's definitely expert is driving in the horrendous traffic jam.

Tour guide Linda introduced Korean culture and customs in the most relatable way, making it easy to understand the various scenes seen in Korean dramas. The Hwadam Botanic Garden day trip made me feel like it was worth the trip because I saw the autumn foliage and rode the train. I can only say that if I have the opportunity next time, I want to visit Hwadam Botanic Garden again, and I still want Linda to take us on the tour.

Went during 21 Nov 25, already very little autumn foliage. Tour time given was more than enough to hike the whole area and have a meal so no need to get monorail tickets. Tour guide Zero will just ensure ur accounted for when going and returning back. Good to experience Hwadamsup once only. Mostly are slopes. Make sure to get all the stamps to get free magnet!
