Checkpoint Charlie tours

Met the best tour guide, Anja, who was funny and detailed in her explanations! English tour (I could understand the English she spoke). Although there were no headphones or mics, the tour guide stopped at each point and explained things in a circle. The tour started at 10:30 and had a 30-minute break after 2 hours (that day was a once-in-a-century cold snap in Germany, and Anja took us to a coffee shop to warm up and use the toilet). We disbanded around 3 o'clock, constantly weaving through the city; seemingly ordinary buildings were actually full of historical significance. (It was originally a 4-hour trip, but Anja had so many events to share that it was slightly delayed). After this trip, I understand the city of Berlin even more. I personally watched quite a few YouTxxx travel expert videos, but actually participating in the tour (+ guided tour) was a deeper experience, highly recommend this trip.

The scheduled three-hour tour ended up taking three and a half hours to complete. We covered most of Berlin's historically important sights. We also took a break at the Humboldt University Law School (where you can buy coffee, use free restrooms, etc.). I highly recommend this tour, and our guide Maria was very enthusiastic. The only thing to note is that early February is extremely cold, and the tour is all outdoors, so you really need to wear a lot of clothes. Learning this piece of history is a mixed experience. Feelings of curiosity, wonder, surprise, sadness describe this tour. Never miss this when you visit Berlin. Definitely worth the time and effort spent. Our guide Beny carefully described what happened in the past.

the tour guide waild was fantastic! hes extremely helpful and cheerful! great sense of humour too!! the bus was great, but the driver was late, and he dropped us at somewhere not where the tour guide expected, so that was a bit funny, tho the tour guide did make the most of it (yes, even wrong drop off point) overall it was such a full day, loads of walking but good experience in general.

Such an educational experience! Rich stories behind those buildings, monuments, walls and many more! Our guide Simon F. was amazing. Took his time to explain the what, when, where, how and why of everything! He didn't rush us, patiently waiting for everyone to gather, and made sure everyone would not miss a thing. Simon F. is a storyteller. I got a different historical perspective of Berlin and of Germany because of this tour. Perfect tour itinerary. This tour is a must especially for first-time visitors.

I highly recommend this trip to the Berlin concentration camp! The tour guide Lewis is from the UK and has lived in Berlin for many years. His professionalism and enthusiasm are impeccable! He knows the history of the concentration camps very well. When explaining, he has both rigorous historical facts and vivid details, which makes people feel as if they have traveled back to that heavy period. The itinerary is planned very carefully, and no important place is missed. He was very considerate along the way, always paying attention to the status of the group members. After the end, he personally took us back to the city until everyone was settled before leaving. This trip not only gave me a deep understanding of history, but also made me feel full of warmth and touching on my first day in Berlin. Friends who want to experience the history of Berlin in depth must choose this group. You will never be disappointed with Lewis!
