Gangnam Tour on Youth and Society in South Korea

June emailed me the day before the tour to confirm the date/timing, the walking tour started around gangnam station to sinsa and troll through garousil street then to han river nearby apujeong station. If you like to find out more about the local social issues about gangnam from the miracle development to education to housing to lookism (plastic surgery) from a local korean guide’s perspective, this is the tour to sign up for. The tour ends with June’s optional lunch recommendation at a local restaurant in apujeong area with additional cost.

This was a very special tour, with the excellent guide, Jessica. The tour was built well as far as the stops (including a yummy cafe), and Jessica was both informative and amusing. I learned a lot about Korean society and why it looks the way it does today. This is probably the best tour I've done in Korea so far. Thank you!

I highly recommend booking this tour with the guides of "seouldude". June and Jessica were both there to meet us and split us up into 2 groups since we were so many people. So this is a popular tour! We did our tour with Jessica and she did an amazing job guiding us through Gangnam. We learned lots of interesting facts about the struggles of korean youth, the importance of eduaction, money and beauty - all represented in this district. There was always time for questions and the pace and structure of the tour were just right. In the end there was an optional lunch with several dishes to try (vegetarian and vegan food available). Jessica also helped us to get to our next destination. This was a great experience!

A highly recommended tour for those looking to understand the complexities of modern South Korean society. The guides are excellent, and the experience is both educational and eye-opening.

I think this tour is a must for everyone who come to Seoul Korea. It will give you a more realsitic look into the lives of normal Koreans and not the image you get as a normal tourist. June Kim is a ncie and knowledgeable guide. Despite the heavy rain, he still tired his best to make a pleasant experience for us. We were told about the darker side of Korean Lives and livong conditions such as housing price, education. married and working lives.... etc. highly recommend it.

Was a very informative tour! June was a great laugh! Had jokes for days lol. Highly recommend the tour! It went by so fast, and everyone seemed like they were enjoying themselves! I decided to join this tour after a great experience with their previous Moonlight tour, and I’m glad I did. Jessica’s insights offered a deeper understanding of South Korea’s society, from the intense competition in education to the work culture and even the complexities of finding love in Korea. It was truly eye-opening. This is a walking tour, so come in your walking shoes and T-Money card. I'd recommend this tour to my family and friends!

The meet up place was easy to find. The energy of our guide Jessica was infectious. It was fun and very informative.

what a fascinating tour with the very talented Jun. it was filled with gems of information from start to end. Jun is very knowledgeable and interesting and even though I thought I knew a lot about Korea and Seoul, I learned so much more during the experience. 10/10
