From Gili Terawangan: Island Hopping Snorkeling Trip

Snorkeling and island hopping in the Gili Islands was one of the most fun and memorable experiences I’ve ever had! The combination of pristine waters, vibrant marine life, and the laid-back island vibe made it unforgettable. We started our adventure with a boat tour that took us around Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno, and Gili Air. The guides were friendly and knowledgeable, providing interesting facts about the islands and the best snorkeling spots. The water was crystal-clear, making it easy to see the stunning underwater world. We spotted colorful corals, schools of fish, and even several sea turtles — the highlight of the trip! Each stop offered something unique: Gili Meno’s famous underwater statue park was surreal, Gili Air’s calm waters were perfect for swimming, and Gili Trawangan’s lively atmosphere made for a great place to unwind between dives. The snorkeling gear provided was of good quality, and the boat was comfortable, with plenty of space to relax in between snorkeling sessions. What really stood out was the balance of adventure and relaxation. We had plenty of time to explore, snorkel, and soak in the beautiful scenery, yet the whole experience felt perfectly paced and unhurried. This trip is an absolute must if you’re visiting the Gili Islands, whether you’re an experienced snorkeler or just looking for a fun and scenic way to explore the islands. The memories of swimming alongside turtles in the vibrant reefs will stay with me forever. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for an unforgettable island hopping adventure!

It was a super awesome experience! The staff was great and took good care of those who weren’t strong swimmers. We were lucky to be in a small group, so it wasn’t crowded, and our guide was an expert underwater videographer, which made it even more enjoyable!🥹🥰

For those who have experienced in Snorkling, look no further and just choose this. Cheapest & valued for money! 3 snorkling spot + viewing of baby sea tutle (I saw 1 hour old turle). 3 Snorkling point (Statue -> Sea turle -> Coral reef). However, for those newbies or never tried before (like me) the experience is fun yet scary. Even with that said, don’t worry as all the crew are well traned and are extremely villigent to ensure everyone is safe during the activies! The have life buoy & jacket available!

More or less you get way you pay for. Pros include - value for money and the snorkeling spots and the go pro photos and videos. We also saw 4-5 turtles.Cons - Roughly 30 people or more on the boat, at every spot chances are you’ll bump into everyone specially at the statues. Lunch stop was way long and unnecessary. We started at 10 and returned almost at 2:3P0PM almost wasting 1-1:30 hours at the lunch spot.

It was the best value for money. It was really fun to see a lot of turtles and fish at various points. I went alone, but fortunately there was one Indonesian person, so I was less lonely. Only the two of us were Asian and the rest were all Westerners. Only the two of us wore life jackets. The rest of the people were good swimmers, but it was a very enjoyable experience with great value for money. If you go to Gilit, be sure to sign up and enjoy snorkeling!

Was really cool, had a relative small group and a good boat. Only downside, too much people overall in the water from other agencies. And even if the instructur said do not touch the corals and turtles people touched them. I wish the instructur will bann them for further snorkeling if they do so.

We had a good day out on this snorkeling trip.Our guide was friendly and spoke english well.We saw the circle of life statue,fish,3 turtles and some coral.The baby turtle sanctuary was also a great thing to see.The only downside is that we felt like it was super busy as there was alot of people on our boat (28) and other snorklers from other boats.It meant it was hard to see as there was lots of people in eachothers way.If its your first time snorkeling,I recommend you start at the beach in Gili T and when you feel confident go on a tour.The water we went in was pretty deep and we were left to our own devices a little. Also to mention,they take you to a restaurant for lunch,the restaurant is overpriced and the food isn’t very good.I would advise just ordering a drink or bring your own snacks and wait by the beachfront.

everything went smooth and was as described. 3 snorkeling spots and some free time and gili meno and gili air. it’s just to many boats on the same time in the exactly same spots. also people swimming to close to turtles. Besides very good value for a price.

I wanted to see turtles, so I decided to look for them, but I was worried because I was going alone, but it was great because it was a joint tour with several people! Since you don't go to deep places, you can do it even if you can't swim. The employees were eager to take pictures, so I took pictures of them too! The tour was short and fun. Even if you apply sunscreen, the sun is strong and you will get burned on your back, so be sure to wear a rash guard!! I intend to visit again!!

Overall it was a great day, everything ran smoothly and on time. The team were really helpful, especially with those who weren't as confident in the water. I do wish the snorkelling spots were less crowded but that can't be helped with multiple tours going on at once. Also the turtles were amazing to see but I think there should have been more emphasis to keep our distance and especially not to feed or touch the turtles!
