expérience: Fantastic experience at the aquarium. The underwater excursion was perfect. The complete tour of the museum and aquarium with our knowledgeable English-speaking guide was great. Thank you to Hamasen for his tour and explanations. I hope to return because it was wonderful. prix: The price is absolutely worth it because meals, transportation, and our support throughout are included.
#RitualisticLiving #ChildrensDay #OvernightAtNMMBA Our long weekend kicked off with a trip to Pingtung, which felt incredibly far away, but we were in for a super fun first-time experience: sleeping with the fish! Our group of 10 was incredibly lucky🍀 to unlock the #TaiwanWaters exhibit's super VIP spot, directly facing the marine life in the #OceanicPool 🥰. Someone in our group actually booked this back in August last year! The museum assigns sleeping spots based on booking order, so at first, I thought we might not get a good one 🙂‍↔️. But thankfully, every single one of us is super lucky! 🤩 YES!! 🫰🏻 Transportation: From Zuoying HSR Station, take Kenting Express Bus 9189 (strongly recommend buying your Taiwan Tourist Shuttle tickets in advance). Alternatively, you can carpool, but it's more expensive during long weekends, costing around 500 NTD per person, with some even quoting up to 800 NTD. I remember carpooling to Xiaoliuqiu cost 200 NTD per person last time, but that wasn't a long weekend, so everyone should consider their options.
#A Sense of Ritual in Life #Children's Day #Overnight Stay at the National Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium Our long weekend began with a trip to Pingtung, which felt incredibly far away, but we were in for a truly exciting first-time experience: sleeping with the fish! Our group of 10 was incredibly lucky 🍀 to unlock the super VIP area of the #TaiwanWaters exhibit, directly facing the marine life in the #OceanicExhibit 🥰. Someone in our group had actually booked this back in August of last year! The museum assigns sleeping spots based on booking order, so at first, I thought we might not get a good spot 🙂‍↔️. But thankfully, every one of us turned out to be super lucky! 🤩 YES!! 🫰🏻 Transportation: From Zuoying HSR Station, take Kenting Express Bus 9189 (strongly recommend purchasing tickets in advance via Klook or Taiwan Tourist Shuttle). If you buy a later departure but need to leave earlier, it's possible to get a spot on an earlier bus if you arrive early enough.
🎉I loved my stay.👍 ⭕Facilities: "Lockers" Each group (one family per group) is assigned a locker (uses a $10 coin for locking, reusable, coin is returned upon opening). ⭕Facilities: "Vending Machines" There are instant noodle vending machines, beverage vending machines, and of course, a currency exchange machine outside the restrooms. ⭕Facilities: "Washroom Area" I think the space is quite large, and there are enough stalls. (The total number of people in the group this time was about 50). ⭕Price: Three meals included per night, great value for the price. ⭕Service: All the service staff I came into contact with that day showed excellent service attitude and enthusiasm. You can feel that the aquarium staff likes and loves their work. This made me feel an inexplicable sense of warmth.
This time's overnight stay at the aquarium was filled with joy, luck, and a bit of worry. Joy because it was as peaceful as I had hoped (from after closing until the end of the program), with a wide variety of marine life, and friendly, helpful staff. Luck because I originally wanted to sleep in the underwater tunnel, hoping to wake up to a beautiful view. However, due to insufficient numbers on 9/21, the trip was moved forward a day, and my selection priority (first-come, first-served) shifted back. I ended up sleeping in the kelp forest area, which turned out to be a blessing in disguise. I later learned that the mattresses in the underwater tunnel are thinner, while the kelp forest area is colder, so the mattresses and bedding are thicker, making for a more comfortable sleep. Because I woke up early, I was able to wander around the aquarium taking pictures after freshening up around 6 a.m., and I even captured a very beautiful rainbow. After breakfast, I explored and photographed various exhibition areas in the aquarium all by myself. The underwater tunnel without any crowds was spectacular! So, I recommend that anyone planning to visit should choose to sleep in the kelp forest area. The worry comes from the fact that I'm on the way back to Kaohsiung and I just found out that a typhoon is approaching... 😓
This was such a lovely experience! I went with my partner, and even though we don’t speak Chinese fluently, the staff were very warm & accommodating! The food was very good, and it was so interesting getting to see the aquarium fish and animals at night. We slept in the beluga whale area, which I highly recommend! It was very funny getting woken up at 6 AM to the sounds of the beluga whales communicating through the walls with each other. This is a must-do!
The sleepover experience was worth the money! Our tour guide shared a lot with us with his marine life knowledge and interesting insights with the 🐟es. We were allowed to explore the aquatics museum after the sleepover the next day therefore me and husband were able to explore the whole place!
we enjoyed a seamless booking and very lovely sleepover at the aquarium via Klook! a few weeks after we booked, the NMMBA emailed us to confirm and also sent us the itinerary. the whole experience there was very enjoyable!

You can gaze at the reflection of the corals, and look forward to being awakened by the fish schools and healing scenery that greet your eyes. There are sleepy belugas gracefully by your side, and penguins from the Southern Hemisphere and puffins from the Northern Hemisphere sleeping together across the equator. During the day, you can visit the wild intertidal zone to observe how life forms cope with harsh living spaces.
