Reviews
Cruising through the Fiord was breathtaking. The cruise also went near the waterfalls, it was amazing feeling it so up close. Must go destination when in the South Island. Sadly, the underwater observatory was closed as it was damaged but the tour company gave $25 voucher to spend on their goods or food.
Completely difference from doubtful sound, however it was raining heavily with may affect the experience.
observatory was closed (due to weather out of control of humans) so given $25 voucher each instead - couldn’t use for buffet on cruise as needed pre book and told could redeem at visitor centre/cafe - well they were closing and not full menu when we walked straight there after cruise - no gluten free options so 1 of 4 had an overpriced packet of crisps and can of drink for $5 - was disappointed and cafe staff not interested- wish voucher had been sent prior to cruise when could have maybe got something cooked - but cruise was amazing
The under water observatory is not avail. waiting for my refund but no news
An awesome way to experience the amazement of Milford Sound! Loved the details and the underwater observatory!
We had an amazing 3-4 hours on the cruise seeing the fiord and the underwater observatory. Highly recommend this experience and I promise it is worth the drive!
I had an amazing time on the cruise seeing Milford Sound. We were lucky enough to go on a gloomy/ rainy day which allowed us to see more waterfalls than usual. If you’re lucky, you might see fur seals and dolphins (which we did🤗).
The 3-hour tour was an unforgettable experience! Our vessel navigated remarkably close to the breathtaking waterfall, offering a thrilling up-close encounter. To top it off, we spotted a few playful dolphins, graceful seagulls, and even a curious seal swimming alongside the boat. The entire experience was truly awe-inspiring and left me with lifelong memories!
It’s a tourist attraction that has been admired for a long time, but the amount of water has decreased in autumn, and the waterfall scenery is not as grand as expected. The overall feeling is good. The only regret is that the underwater world is not exciting or even disappointing. It is better to visit the Marine Life Museum in Pingtung!
I think the waterfalls in Milford Sound are really big and beautiful. It’s a recommended trip. However, it takes a while to drive in the middle, so remember to leave in advance.
