1 Day Thredbo Snow Day Experience from Sydney

The bus was prompt and already waiting for us when we got to the pick up location. There wasn’t much snow during our trip in early August. It would be better to check if there’s snowfall before booking.

it was an awsome trip. My fiance and I had so much fun snowboarding.Lifts are expensive in Thredbo but worth the experience if you go to different mountains.

I was skeptical to book this as it’s pricey and I wasn’t too sure if it would be worth it but i was proved wrong. The bus arrived right on time, we thought it would be a problem being all crammed in a bus but it was spacey and we also made friends with the people next to us! Stopped off at a servo a few hours after starting so we could get a snack and stretch our legs and then we arrived at a small town at around 5:30am where we got sandwiches, coffee and tea for free and then you hired your equipment. For 2 adults it cost us $450 for skis, jackets, pants, shoes, helmet, goggles and gloves. Got to Thredbo around 7am and we got our tickets for the ski day which is around $250 pp which included lift passes and 2hr lesson. you also had the option to just go without and ski or play in the snow. Back on the bus at 2pm and stopped at a servo after a few hours and got dinner and then got back to Central station 9:30pm! All in all it was a great (but long) day but better than driving ourselves

It’s a pity that the snow conditions are not good this year! But it’s really convenient to have a shuttle bus to pick you up! We will also take you to rent ski equipment! Don’t worry about driving back when you are tired from skating!

Final confirmation of pickup location and time was given a day before with the name of our guide (Kiara) and bus number. We were at the pickup point 15 mins in advance which was good as there were multiple buses from the same company. Total travel duration to Thredbo was 8-10hours with multiple toilet pit stops and stopping at a snow gear shop. We left central station at 1045pm going on to pick up more people and reached Thredbo around 9-10am. My family and I rented a pair of snow jacket, snow pants and boots each at the snow gear shop AUD $100 (highly recommended if you didn’t bring your own). Once we reached Thredbo we had about 4-5hours free time. My family and I went for the alpine coaster and Merritts gondola. Alpine coaster was $32/pax and Merritts gondola was $80/pax. Additionally, would need to make a one time purchase of the Thredbo card for $5/card to make other ticketing purchases. Overall, the tour package was worth it.

It was a very fun experience both drivers were very accommodating and i would say its really something you have to do during winter time. Money spend wells. Also book the alpine coaster thru tredbho website much cheaper than getting tickets upfront. Surely will do it again next year!

Amazing experience. The bus was clean and driver was very helpful and understanding. Offered few complimentary things as well. It is little bit hectic but worth this.
