this was such a fun and lovely experience! my boyfriend and I booked the last class the day of, and we had a personalized session. the two instructors are so friendly, thoughtful, and sweet! they really took the time to get to know us, and they customized our certificates based on things we said we liked! I highly recommend booking a class here.
Different activity, and very nice. We had great explaining and translation, because some locals take this tour too. You get to make some Japanese sweets yourself and get to eat them. The matcha ceremony was short, they explained the ins and outs, but we didn’t follow strict traditional protocol.
It was a great experience! We had a very informative lesson on making Japanese sweets. Our teacher spoke excellent English, and the whole manufacturing process was clear and interesting! We were also given a lesson on how to prepare matcha and we had time to eat the prepared sweets and drink the matcha! Thank you so much to Klook for this opportunity! I highly recommend it to anyone interested in the traditional part of Japan!
Had a lovely experience 🥹 The instructor is young but super experience to coach us through successfully making the traditional sweet. We had great sense of achievement and followed by a Japanese Tea Experience, marked us a wonderful end to my trip to Kyoto. My mum enjoy a lot. One point to note is the place was actually 2/F along the main street, we took a while to look up the venue which was easier than we thought to be. Would be awesome if there is streetview guide provided beforehand.
This experience was really great. We were only foreigners here but the cook chef spoke in basic English to us. We were able to make 2 sweets from red beans 🫘 paste looking as a flowers. Very nice. Then we learned how to prepare good matcha tea 🍵 that was good. It was very interesting and learning experience of good traditions in Japan. I highly recommend this experience to anyone wanting to know how ancient art of japanese cuisine works 🙏🍵⛩️
Presenter was very polite and careful to make sure everyone could keep up with the activity. The whole process was we easy to understand and smooth to enjoy at the end of the session.
Participated in tea making and nerigiri making activities. Very fun and enjoyable. The instructors are cute and still young. Not far from hotels in the kamikujigojo area. Anyone staying in this area, I recommend it. Must try matcha.
This was a wonderful experience! Amy the instructor was amazing. She was so helpful, fun to talk to, and an awesome instructor. It was really cool to learn all about making traditional sweets and then the tea. Everthing tast so good. We did the two sweets and tea ceremony class and it was all so cool to do each staton. This is a great calming activity if your had a super busy time.
The staff was helpful and attentive. The facilities were very good. The person who helped us spoke English partially, but made himself understood. The sweets were delicious. They give you the ingredients already prepared, basically so you can put them together yourself.
Fantastic experience - highly recommended. Instructor provided clear instructions in both Japanese and English - and was able to answer questions. The only negative was the location as it was away from the main shopping area.
