Reviews
we went on hop on hop off + cruise canal on our 2nd day. weather was nice, bit chilly with spectacular views. it was a very nice experience, especially the cruise canal. took a lot of photos for remembrance as well before we head back to Dubai. Overall, me and my partner and I really enjoyed the day. it was also great to know some historic facts about the places we passed by.
The voucher was easy to use and boat & ferry terminal were accessible and easy to find. I prefer the bus over the ferry for time constraints. Overall, this was a great deal.
we enjoyed the hop on hop off cruise instead of bus. though the weather is perfectly fine, it was too hot. if you want to ride the hop on hop off boat it a bit difficult to find the boat and the forst stop of bus. anyway it is not that expensive you can still try it. the location of boat is infront of amsterdam centraal station.
It was worth it! We could see the whole of Amsterdam City on this cruise. The view is beautiful, especially when the boat passes under the bridge. However, we still need to go to the counter and book the time we want to on ride the cruise. So better go a day early and book your time slot.
very convenient way to explore the city of Amsterdam! Highly recommended.
It was my first time in the Netherlands, and I bought a 24-hour bus and canal cruise ticket. The staff were all very helpful with information, and I had a wonderful and enjoyable day. The canal cruise guide provided detailed explanations.
The Amsterdam City Sightseeing Bus Pass with Canal Cruise offers a practical way to get acquainted with the city’s key attractions, especially if you're visiting for the first time or have limited time to explore. The combination of a hop-on-hop-off bus and a canal cruise covers both land and water, which is a classic Amsterdam experience. ✅ Pros: Great coverage: The bus route passes by major landmarks like the Rijksmuseum, Anne Frank House, and Museumplein, making it easy to reach the big-ticket sites without hassle. Flexibility: You can hop on and off at your own pace, which is ideal for those who like to explore without strict schedules. Informative audio guide: The multilingual commentary provides a helpful overview of the city’s history and culture, although it can be a bit generic. Scenic canal cruise: This was a highlight. Cruising through the canals offers a peaceful, picturesque perspective of the city’s iconic waterways and architecture. ❌ Cons: Limited stops: Compared to public transport, the stops are fewer and sometimes a bit of a walk from the actual attractions. Crowds: During busy tourist seasons, both the bus and canal cruise can get crowded, which slightly dampens the experience. ⚖️ Final Thoughts: If you're looking for a comfortable, no-stress way to see Amsterdam's highlights while getting some background information, this pass is a solid option. However, if you're after speed and efficiency, or if you're already familiar with the city, public transport or biking might be better suited. Overall, it’s worth it for first-timers and those who enjoy leisurely sightseeing, but managing expectations on timing and crowds is key to getting the most out of it.
Amsterdam was founded at the mouth of the Amstel River that was dammed to control flooding; the city's name derives from the a local linguistic variation of the word dam. Hop On Hop Off in amaterdam is very helpful to get more up close and personal with attractions. Whichever type of traveler you are, a hop-on/hop-off bus pass allows you both experiences. Ride from start to finish without leaving the bus, or get off at almost every stop
I was able to capture the city in my heart, eyes, and photos with a cruise, and the hop-on hop-off bus tour was even better because I could listen to the audio guide and get on and off freely. I even left my granddaughter's headband on the bus, and when I contacted them, they found it and brought it directly to the bus for me, so I am grateful once again for their kindness.
Good service, convenient for those who come to Amsterdam want to visit around the city without means. Hop On Hop Off is the best way to get you everywhere and back to your original location.
