Gyeongbokgung Hanbok & Hairstyling Experience

first of all u need to wear a petticoat cause its very cold me and my family just wear the hanbok only,we take 4 hour session because is too cold and windy we end 2 and the half hour only the rest is good. we have a good view and enjoy.The hanbok price is acceptable and beautiful..

My wife and I decided to rent hanboks during our trip to Seoul, and it was such a fun experience! We chose a vibrant, traditional design and felt like we had stepped back in time. Wandering through Bukchon Hanok Village and Gyeongbokgung Palace in our hanboks was amazing. The best part? We got free entry to the palaces! It was a fantastic way to immerse ourselves in Korean culture and take some beautiful photos.

The shop is conveniently located near gyeongbokgung train station. There’s also a life4cut just adjacent to the shop so it’s a good place to take more photos in hanbok! It closes at 7pm so have to return before that. It includes simple hairstyling and handbag which is useful! A lot of designs to choose from so it might take a while to decide which to get!

Best experience ever!! The staff were very helpful and friendly. At first, I had a hard time finding the store because it only had a small sign outside but it turns out, you have to take the small stairs to the 3rd floor. The place was huge with lots of hanboks to choose from. They also had lockers to store our clothes and belongings. I rented an additional petticoat for 2,000 KRW, which made my hanbok look even better!! Soo Worth it. Will definitely come back here in gigibebe again.

The store is conveniently located next to the Gyeongbokgung Palace, less than 5 minutes walk from the gate. I reserved a slot from 9 am to 10 am on Monday, came to the store around 9:30 am, and it was already busy. You can choose between 3 types of hanbok, the cheapest being the traditional one (bright colors mostlly), then there is the special one (with organza and embroidery), and the most expensive is the ombré one with several layers of organza. They have different sizes available, but they charge extra 5,000 won for extra fitting, if the first choice did not fit or if you did not like it. The length-wise, the options, that they had, are mostly for the ladies up to 170 cm in height. I am 181 cm tall, and even without the petticoat the Hanbok skirt was only reaching my ankles. But I guess, if you are not that tall, the length should not be an issue for you. They also have the huge variety of colors and patterns. Also, the hair style is free, if you choose the plain braids and simple band. In case you want to have hair accessories and more difficult hair style, there will be an extra charge of 3,000 won. I rented the hanbok for 2 hours, and it was enough to take nice photos. If you wish to participate in the guided tours or spend more time at the palace, it is better to take longer time. Also, if you return the hanbok too late, there is extra charge. The store assistants are very nice, and they really helped me to pick the sizes and did a very nice hair style, I went for the one with extra accessories. Size-wise, I had to go for the 2xl for the shirt, mostly, because of the length, although normally I wear the European size S (36). So ask the store assistants for the size, before you try it on, to avoid extra charges. The skirt is free size, so the only issue I had is the length. Also, you can choose one small handbag with embroidery for free, and they provide the lockers for your belongings. Overall, it was a very good experience. And also, as a bonus, the entrance to the Palace is free, if you wear hanbok.

Visiting Gyeongbokgung Palace dressed in hanbok really enhances the magic of the moment. We really get into the game and the magic happens in a very natural way. The welcome from GIGIBEBE was perfect, quick, simple and the fact of being able to choose how long you keep the hanbok is a plus.

it was very easy to redeem and this specific Gigi Bebe handbook Rental had a lot of really nice designs high-quality, but the only problem we encountered was it was on the third floor without any elevator and we were with our our really old grandmother who struggled a little bit with the staircase. they offer a lot of different types of accessories as well for extra charge.

The staff in this rental place was very helpful, they assisted us which outfit best to use and allowed us to try multiple outfits. Wearing Hanbok allows you to enter the palaces free of charge, however it is not advisable to wear it during winter and summer.

Renting clothes at Gigibebe shop The shop's coordinates according to Navermap are accurate. It's on the second floor. I recommend going there, but the shop opens at 9:00 a.m. There will be fewer people and it won't be chaotic. There are many sets to choose from. The staff are also nice. Choose the special hanbok. It has more beautiful patterns and colors than the normal one. There is a hair styling service/beautiful hair clip installation for 3000 won. Men's hat 2000 won Free women's handbags There is a locker for storing things. Walk out of the alley for a bit and you'll reach Liab Wang Road. Not far from the subway. Impressive. Beautiful outfit. If it rains, bring your own umbrella. The dress is a little wet, the shop doesn't mind.

There’s 2 location for their rental shop, I suggest go to their shop that is located on ground floor as it is more convenient and less crowded (upstairs shop will show you the current situation of their ground-floor shop on the cctv). The staffs are very accommodating and they will assist you all through out the process. The palace is so near to their shop as well! Try their costume hanbok and immerse to their history more! 🇰🇷
