Reviews
We joined the Rotorua tour with CheekyKiwi Tours and had Jeoff as our driver/guide. He was professional, friendly, and made the journey enjoyable with his humor and stories. Wai-O-Tapu’s geothermal wonders were breathtaking, the Polynesian Spa was the perfect place to relax, and the Rotorua city tour gave great local flavor. Jeoff’s care, attentiveness, and knowledge made the day unforgettable. Highly recommend both CheekyKiwi Tours and Jeoff!
All I can say is, you made the right order! The driver is joesph. He is super considerate and has a very pleasant voice. He takes the trouble to share with everyone all the important things about New Zealand along the way, ensuring that everyone understands and is safe when they are returned to the hotel. I feel very taken care of! The driving habits and rules are different from those in Taiwan. I first got to know people I know well. I felt relaxed and could absorb it effectively. I was given 3 hours to soak in the geothermal hot springs in the morning. It was really refreshing. But remember to bring a swimsuit. Klook’s pre-departure notice and activity introduction did not mention what to bring (I looked in many places and didn’t see it). Maybe this can be improved and better! All in all, it’s a really high CP trip. Highly recommended as your first choice when visiting New Zealand!
I just wanted to give a shoutout to my awesome tour guide, John! He made the trip to Rotorua unforgettable with his great knowledge and fun stories. The views were stunning, and the extra stops he added along the way to Wai-o-Tapu were a nice surprise. We even made it in time for the lady knox geyser show (not in the itinerary), which was perfect! Plus, those quick photo breaks were a blast. At the end of the day, John was super thoughtful and dropped us off wee bit away from our pick up location to keep us dry from the rain. Overall, this tour was definitely a highlight of my New Zealand trip—thanks, John!
Today’s trip is to buy an itinerary to Rotorua. We went to Wai-O-Tapu and Te Puia. Wai-O-Tapu is a geothermal landscape. It really looks like God’s palette🎨. The colorful colors are very spectacular. The other one is champagne. The pool looks very dreamy~ The landscape here is really special. We arrived at Te Puia in the afternoon, but unfortunately there was no SHOW in the afternoon, otherwise we could have watched traditional Maori performances and dances. We first went to the KIWI reserve in the park. There were two Super Super cute kiwi! ! It was the first time I saw a kiwi in person. It was bigger than I thought. XD In addition, in the park, you can also see the volcano's intermittent geysers and see the whole thing with your own eyes. It's super spectacular! ! ! ! ! - In fact, the time spent at the attractions is a bit short. The drive alone takes about 7-8 hours back and forth 😂 The actual time spent wandering around the attractions is only about 3 hours, but it is a good experience! The driver will also prepare water, snacks, and apples, which is very attentive.
must go if you are a fan of mother nature. Worth to visit! Walk through this realm of primal energy, where the Champagne Pool shimmers like a liquid jewel, its edges gilded with oranges and greens, as if the sun itself dissolved into its depths. Nearby, the Artist's Palette spills forth in strokes of cobalt, emerald, and sulfurous gold-a masterpiece forged by mineral alchemy and time.
It was really amazing to see the geyser, thermal park and understand the Maori culture. The burger lunch is delicious too.
The tour guides and drivers at Cheeky Kiwi are excellent. Since every traveler's itinerary is unique, the drivers are incredibly skilled at coordinating everyone's pick-up and drop-off times, ensuring perfect transfers. The geothermal landscape is definitely worth seeing. The Redwood Forest offers a unique experience of walking across suspension bridges among the trees. Lunch is at your own expense, either at a café or food stall at the attraction.
Waikato Countryside is replaced by a description on the move. Most of the time is spent moving to Te Puia. People who have chosen various options are in the car. While we used the geothermal park, others visited the Government Garden. Among the itineraries that I saw when paying, I visited Lake Rotorua, Te Puia, and Polynesian Spa. I did not visit the rest. The price is expensive compared to the satisfaction. However, thanks to the friendly guide, the satisfaction is high.
it was mixed people who booked different tour therefore had to spend extra time to stop by/wait everywhere. other then tour itself was great expecially the spa.
It is suitable for day trips to and from Rotorua without driving. It is a place with more North Island and New Zealand characteristics. It is worth a visit when coming to Auckland, although the paid admission is expensive. For cultural attractions, we recommend Te Puia, a 90-minute basic tour; for natural geothermal landscapes, we recommend Wai O Tapu, which can stay for 105 minutes and takes at least an hour and a half to complete the three trails. The one-way trip including rest takes 4 hours. We are in a small group of 16 people, mainly American and Australian group members. The car is very new and the tour guide and driver talks a lot. Asians may feel a little uncomfortable.
