The one-day tour is perfectly scheduled with a comfortable and unrushed pace. At Panda Valley, the quiet bamboo forests let you watch giant pandas eating and playing up close. With luck, you may even spot adorable red pandas. The Dujiangyan Irrigation System is magnificent. With the guide’s explanation, you’ll understand the wisdom of this thousand-year-old water project. The Sichuan opera performance in the evening is fantastic. Face-changing and fire-spitting create an immersive vibe to experience Bashu intangible cultural heritage. The whole trip is hassle-free and amazing. Highly recommended!

All good. The only thing I would recommend is for the Zhongshuge stop to be longer because in the end, we had far too much time in Dujiangyan. Having to wait from 5 to 7.30 for nightfall is far too long.

The itinerary was just right. We visited Panda Valley, Dujiangyan and had a Sichuan Opera performance in one day. The content was rich but not rushed! The Panda Valley is surrounded by serene mountains and forests. You can get up close and personal with giant pandas and red pandas, which are so cute and soothing. The Dujiangyan Irrigation system is breathtaking. The tour guide explained the thousand-year-old history of water conservancy in a simple and understandable way. The Sichuan Opera face-changing and fire-spitting performances are simply spectacular, allowing you to immerse yourself in the charm of the intangible cultural heritage of Sichuan and Chongqing. This route is purely for fun without any shopping. The driver drives smoothly and the entire experience is perfect. I highly recommend this route when you come to Chengdu!

Had a great day today. Prior to the trip I was already informed that we won’t have an English speaking driver which was great so I can set my expectations. Our driver 张涛 made sure I was comfortable and well informed. He used his translation app, even gave me as much information as possible about the areas we visited. He drove us safely to the attractions and back and all went very smoothly. This day trip is a value for money as you’ll only be travelling in a small group of 8 in a comfy coach van.

The 9-seater minivan arrived on time for pickup. We were thrilled to see many pandas, both big and small, at the Panda Base. Taking photos with the giant panda at the square was also a lot of fun. We visited Zhongshuge bookstore and had lunch on our own. In the afternoon, we went to Dujiangyan (Fish Mouth, Feisha Weir, Nanqiao Bridge, ancient temples, etc.). The driver was very knowledgeable and explained everything in detail, and he drove safely and steadily. The whole trip was enjoyable. The only minor disappointment was waiting too long for the 'Blue Tears' at Nanqiao Bridge, only to find out it was just artificial lighting.

please read the description carefully for this tour, we booked the English guided tour. our driver used wechat to message and translation is available through this app. There is no English speaking guide with you. This tour is helpful if you want to visit panda valley while you are in Chengdu. We found Panda Valley to have less visitors then the Chengdu panda research centre and we were able to see the pandas without the push of a crowd around us. Our tour did not follow the itinerary posted meaning the pandas were no longer outside or as active by the time we arrived at the park.
