I did not want to leave the place. I wish Klook had an option with earlier departure in Shinjuku and later departure in Kamikochi as well. 3.5 hours is a very limited time to explore the whole area. The bus ride was comfortable. The tour guide was very considerate to non Japanese speakers even though only the essential details were translated. As for the other details announced, Apple Airpods Live translate came in handy.
Most of the tour participants were Japanese, and the guide spoke Japanese. However, we were able to communicate a little when arranging meeting points. The location was beautiful, the weather was good, and it was easy to walk around. We stopped for restroom breaks twice, both on the way there and back, for about 10-15 minutes each time.
It was an amazing experience. Fortunately, I got lucky with the weather and traffic. Everything was satisfying. I must mention our guide, Nakata-san; she was amazing. Basically, it was a Japanese tour, but she gave us extra care as non-Japanese and provided good information all day. I'm a tour guide myself, and I must say she did well to manage large numbers of people.
A wonderful trip and a delightful time spent out of the city in the fresh air, with impressive mountain views and a walk along a river with crystal-clear water. The tour organization was flawless, with an attentive guide.
If you're traveling to Tokyo, Japan, I highly recommend this. You can dedicate one day of your itinerary to enjoy such magnificent natural scenery. It took about 4 hours one way to get there from Shinjuku Station due to the distance, but stopping at rest areas along the way to browse local specialties or admire Lake Suwa was also a wonderful experience. The only downside was that the booking page stated English was available, but in reality, the guide spoke very little English. Nevertheless, we communicated using simple English, and since there was plenty of free time to walk around and explore, it wasn't a major difficulty.
Our Japanese tour guide was incredibly enthusiastic and eager to share her experiences. Even with foreigners in the group, she made sure everyone fully understood the itinerary and enjoyed the trip! Although the drive was quite long and heavy rain caused traffic jams, it didn't diminish the wonderful memories of this journey!
I'm very satisfied with this Japanese tour! The tour guide was very attentive to us foreigners, explaining some requests in English and arranging for us to sit behind her so she could easily understand our needs. The Japanese tour used a comfortable bus! I'll definitely try Japanese tours again in the future.
The tour guide did not speak English, and even simple English communication was difficult. Most of the people on the bus were locals. Even though there were a few foreigners, the guide did not communicate the itinerary with us. We had to ask about the route one by one upon arrival at each destination. We departed Shinjuku around 7 AM and arrived at Kamikochi around 11 AM. We got off at Taisho Pond and started walking (Taisho Pond - Tashiro Pond - Kappa Bridge). We returned to the bus terminal at 3:10 PM and departed for Shinjuku, arriving back in Shinjuku a little after 8 PM.

Although the tour guide only spoke Japanese, when she saw that I didn't understand, she tried her best to translate important information into English on the bus so that I could understand.
