Reviews
Saw a TikTok about this place and became super hyperfixated that I NEEDED to go here no matter what. Taking this tour was a great choice as it allowed for an easy transfer to and from Kamikochi. The first stop at Taisho Ike Pond was breathtaking which got me excited for the rest of the walk. the greenery of the forest in mid June was a sight to behold along with the Japanese Apls in the distance. The trial was not super crowded until you reached Kappa Bridge. There is also an additional trail to Myojin Bridge and Myojin First Pond but only if you have an additional 2 hours to spare. I was taking my time on the first trail that couldn’t make it to the second but I would definitely come back to do it!!
Suesy was a great guide, friendly and knowledgeable, her energy made a rainy day much better. However hiking in the rain, I missed much of the scenery due to fog, was absolutely drenched as well. Proper rain gear and waterproof shoes are recommended for rainy days. Otherwise a cool experience.
May 2, 2026 Kamikochi day trip itinerary. Kamikochi is a wonderful place, and the weather was super nice that day, so the scenery was incredibly beautiful. The views along the way were also stunning! I joined a Klook tour, so I didn't have to worry about transportation. The other passengers on the bus today were very quiet, not noisy at all. However, the time we had at Kamikochi was too short, only three and a half hours, which felt a bit rushed. Our guide, Zuo Sha, was very thoughtful and told us where to take the most beautiful scenic photos. Driver Liu was fast but also drove very steadily.
One of the Best solo trip when you're at Nagoya. The Bus Transfers is very smooth considering a gloomy weather. Ms. Sue is very Accommodating at guests. English-Chinese translation well done. definitely a recommended activity when at Nagano / Nagoya that's Ultimate Nature Trip. Please preserve these Japanese Alps, Bridge, and beautiful crystal clear river!
The pick-up location was convenient, and the 45-seater tour bus was spacious with comfortable seats and a smooth ride. Our tour guide, Ruan Tao, was friendly and responsible, providing excellent service, proactively offering information, and helping us take photos. We departed at 8 AM and made one stop at a very crowded service area. We arrived at Taisho Pond in Kamikochi at 11:45 AM. The weather was good, and we walked quite a bit (briskly). Be aware that mountain paths with tree shade can be cooler. We reached Kappa Bridge at 1 PM, stayed for 15 minutes, and then continued uphill. The mountain path wasn't steep but had a lot of loose gravel. We arrived at Myojin Pond at 1:55 PM. Due to the large number of people queuing to take photos by the pond, we only viewed it from the shrine before heading back. The scenery was beautiful. We returned to Kappa Bridge at 2:35 PM. Before boarding the bus, we queued again to buy souvenirs. We departed from the Kappa Bridge parking lot at 3:15 PM and returned to Nagoya at 6:50 PM. Very satisfied! 👍🏻
Our day trip to Kamikochi from Nagoya was an excellent experience. Our guide, Suesy, was energetic and professional, fluently switching between Chinese and English. She shared tips and strategies on the bus beforehand, allowing us to efficiently explore the main attractions according to our energy levels. We also want to thank the driver; the long journey was very smooth and safe, which put us at ease. The scenery of Kamikochi, with its beautiful lakes and mountains, was breathtaking. Although the drive was long, it was definitely worth it. Additionally, we highly recommend the popular apple pie and ice cream near Kappa Bridge; the taste was amazing, so don't miss it!
The entire trip was great! Kamikochi is really beautiful. The 1hr hike is very easy and even doable for my two year old. I would want to visit kamikochi again during spring so it’s colder. Yukino our guide is very helpful too! She is very pleasant, easy to talk to and she’s very knowledgeable about kamikochi. So glad we choose to booked with them.
An informational email arrived the day before the tour. (It included the vehicle number, guide's name, and tour details.) It would have been helpful if a map of the routes had also been provided... Route ①: Taishoike Bus Stop > Taisho Pond > Tashiroike > Kappa Bridge > Kamikochi Bus Station (3.5km) / Route ②: Kamikochi Bus Station > Kappa Bridge > Myojin Bridge > Hotaka Shrine Okumiya & Myojin Pond > Yueze Wetland > Kamikochi Bus Station (5.6km). The guide mentioned that Route 1 was for beginners and that the bus parking lot was the starting point for Route 2. However, the guide got off, and it seemed like the driver was also signaling for us to get off, so I did. Everyone ended up starting from Route 1. The guide provided information from the vehicle, and it was a self-guided tour. Thanks to this, I was able to thoroughly explore both Route 1 and Route 2 in three and a half hours (it's doable at a fast pace). I had snacks I brought for lunch. The surrounding restaurants and shops were crowded, and there wasn't time to eat... (The guide was late at the end... lol). Although time was short and it was busy, it was a good trip. Myojin Pond had an entrance fee of 500 yen, which was well worth it. If I had more time, I would have loved to stay longer. - Visited on May 25, 2026.
No group chat. It would be so much easier if they have one. Overall the driver and guide are both nice. The price is worth it as the view is really breathtaking. This tour is the highlight of our Japan tour. It took us 2 hrs to walk from Taisho pond to Kappa bridge because of the view, wherever you look the view is picturesque.
We experienced rain, snow and sun during our Kamikochi hiking tour. The scenery was stunning in autumn and we enjoy the nature walk in this cool weather. We didn’t feel tired and took many photos for this tour for remembrance.
