Sapi/Manukan/Mamutik Island Hopping with Tour Guide

it was well arranged. we had pickup service and a guide to guide us through the day. the boat ride is a bit chaotic so it was good we had a guide to bring us through. snorkelling is great. managed to see a stingray and few varieties of fishes at manukan island. sapi was a little bit too crowded.

must see attractions in kota kinabalu. these places are very relaxing and prestine. the schedule of the tours also give time for other water activities at your own expense.

Awsome snorkeling trip! Our guide Nelson was the best! He had always fun and interesting story's about the local life an Cuisine! The beaches and coral reefs where phenomenal and we saw sea turtles and stingrays as well as sharks!

Overall a great day trip! We visited Manukan and Sapi Island which were both beautiful, and there is a lovely restaurant on Manukan Island. Our tour guide Nelson was so friendly and informative and always so happy which made our experience even better. Itinerary timings were comfortable and worked out very smooth throughout the day. I would highly recommend this for anyone staying in Kota Kinabalu.

I made the right decision to apply! I feel relieved that the detailed communication is done by LINE. At first, I thought about going directly to the harbor to buy tickets, but the schedule changed and I made a reservation the day before. I'm glad I chose the hotel transfer! There were a lot of people around the boat dock on the way back, probably because only tour groups can go to the back area. The area where we were was just for tour groups, so we were able to relax like it was a private beach. There were mosquitoes in the rest area, so spray is a must. We were lucky to see a monitor lizard. Thank you Nelson & Chris!

The weather was great, the guide was super nice and friendly. Picked us up punctually too. The food was acceptable too.

1. The tour guide is very responsible and confirms the number of people in advance. They also explain important details along the way. Due to time constraints, we only visited Manukan Island. The tour guide had to accompany other tourists to Sapi Island, and repeatedly confirmed with me about returning the equipment and the boat departure time. 2. The scenery on the island is beautiful, and the photos turn out great. It's worth a visit. 3. The snorkeling experience was average. There were many fish, but because there were so many people, the water was quite murky, so the photo quality wasn't good. 4. If you're going to Manukan Island, I recommend staying on the island. After comparing the prices of the hotels on the island and the resorts outside, the cost is about the same. If you stay on the island, you can choose to go snorkeling when there are fewer people. Also, many restaurants on the island have seats with good views that are only available to guests staying on the island.

Nelson, our guide was wonderful and super friendly and informative. the islands were pretty, we went to manukan and Sapi islands. at manukan island we did see some baby reef sharks, but little else. there is not much healthy corals left. cold beer was available on the beach front. we were contained to one area. on Sapi, a much smaller island, it was very busy, you had to swim in a life jacket, which did mean there was more life coral, and more fish to see. but again very contained areas of swimming and rubbish was present in the water. only warm canned beer from a shelf available here and both islands were teeming with people spending hours taking their perfect instagram photos. lunch was very tasty.

The pickup and drop-off driver from the hotel to the venue was very friendly. However, the lunch buffet was really BAD, and we could barely eat. I thought there would be a guide for snorkeling, but it turns out we mainly paid for the hotel and boat transfer to the island. Other water activities required additional costs. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this package for those who want to experience real snorkeling.
