Jeju Haenyeo Experience

HIGHLY recommend to anyone visiting jeju. the staff were all so lovely and a good amount of them spoke good english! they guided you on how to dive and took your picture so many times throughout the whole experience. also gave you seafood ramen when you were finished. could not recommend enough!

Really enjoyed this experience! The guides were friendly, everything was well organized, and it was a fun way to learn about the Haenyeo culture. A unique activity that's worth trying if you're visiting Jeju 😁

The Haenyeo experience this time was really worthwhile! I was a bit worried that not understanding Korean would make communication difficult, but a Thai staff member at the shop, who spoke excellent Chinese, helped us with translation. The safety instructions were also handled separately from other Korean tourists to ensure we understood everything! Out at sea, a dedicated instructor guided us, communicating in English, occasionally throwing in a few Chinese phrases like "Jiayou" (Go for it!) and "Kaixin" (Happy), which was very endearing! Afterward, they even sent us the photos via Line!

Even though it was canceled twice due to poor weather conditions, something made me try again, I also emailed them, and thankfully the weather was beautiful! I cannot recommend this experience more highly, it was highlight of the trip! I would note that it would be a good idea to bring a change of clothes/extra undies, the changing area for ladies is very...shared. There were some extraordinarily kind staff members there helping get you suited up and off. The pictures are incredible, maybe it was luck, but I got to hold an octopus and swim with a real haenyeo! The male guides were awesome, one even beckoning over to us whenever he spotted something cool. It helps if you're a strong swimmer, and not prone to sea sickness! But in spite of that.... I'd go again!

This is an awesome experience, their tutors are all helpful and friendly, one of the must try activities in Jeju.

Excellent experience. Quality equipment and facilities are functional and clean! Friendly and patient staff who will get you diving and having fun photo ops. Must do :)

The price was reasonable, and there were staff who spoke Mandarin and English to assist us. Everyone was very friendly. Each group had multiple instructors, with some Korean and some foreign, taking underwater photos. Since I can swim and have a scuba diving license, it was easier for me to pick up, and overall, I found it very interesting. That day, we saw sea bream, octopus, and abalone, and we even got to take photos with the Haenyeo (sea women). After rinsing off on shore, we enjoyed hot ramen. 👍🏻 If I have the chance, I hope to come back and experience it again.

I had a great experience snorkeling! The leaders were very nice and helpful, and as an English speaker, it was great that they could give me some instructions in English. I had a great time catching shells and octopus , and eating ramen afterwards while looking out to the water. 10/10 Would recommend!

I had a great time doing the Jeju Haenyeo Experience. The guides were very helpful in getting us outfitted and into the ocean. Being an English speaker wasn’t a problem. They took a lot of pictures of me and sent them by email. The ramen afterwards was good.

Great experience! it was my first time doing such kind of an activity and it was wonderful! the instructors are great, the water was super warm so swimming was really comfortable. the instructors also did a lot of photos of us (photos turned out to be very cool!).
