This 3-day, 2-night Kaohsiung cruise trip has made me fall in love with sea vacations! Exquisite Balcony Cabin Experience: Choosing the balcony cabin was the highlight of the trip! Every morning, I opened the glass door, stood on the private balcony to welcome the sea breeze, and enjoyed the panoramic sea view. The photos I took looked like postcards! The room was spacious and comfortable, with a soft bed and a thoughtful mini-bar. It was such a pleasure to stay there. Watching the stars on the balcony at night was incredibly romantic! 2. Abundant Cruise Facilities: The infinity pool and leisure deck on the ship made me not want to disembark! The gym, spa, and bars were all high-quality. The themed performances in the evening (like jazz bands and magic shows) had a great atmosphere, and I enjoyed them so much that I didn't want them to end. 3. Excellent Food: The buffet restaurant had a wide variety of choices, from Taiwanese braised pork rice and sushi to pasta. The seafood platter was especially fresh and delicious! The lobster set at the theme restaurant was amazing, and the service staff were very friendly. 4. Free Exploration of Kaohsiung: The shore excursions in Kaohsiung had a high degree of freedom. I went cycling in Cijin, watched the night view at Love River, and unexpectedly discovered local night market delicacies! Although there was no tour guide, the maps and suggested itineraries provided by Klook were very practical, so I wasn't afraid of getting lost at all. Suggestions: • The deck of the balcony cabin can get a little crowded during popular times (like sunrise or sunset), so it is recommended to grab a spot early for taking pictures. • The transportation information for the attractions on the shore excursions could be more comprehensive to better facilitate independent travelers. Overall, this cruise trip made me feel the perfect balance of luxury and freedom, especially the balcony cabin, which upgraded the whole experience! The embarkation and disembarkation arrangements were well-organized with crowd control measures. Waiting in the air-conditioned area wasn't too bad, and the wait wasn't too long, so they may have learned from the previous experience. Experience: The staff on board were very enthusiastic and friendly, encouraging you to dance and play with them, which was a lot of fun. It was my first time participating in a karaoke competition, and I won a prize! The atmosphere was great. Dining Experience: The buffet at the Lido Restaurant was good, but it was a bit inconvenient for me dining alone. The Sophia Restaurant has a great ambiance and is convenient for solo diners. The food presentation was beautiful, the taste was good, and it's perfect for taking photos. I only had breakfast once at the other Chinese restaurant, and it was good. Accommodation: I booked very late this time, so I could only get an inside cabin. The space was bigger than I expected, and the room attendant was very responsible and did a good job. Onboard Activities: I originally wanted to see the magic show, but I was captivated by the very beautiful sunset magic moment. Entertainment Options: The magic show and acrobatics show on the ship were very entertaining, funny, and exciting.

Overall a good experience. Lots of food and activities to do on board. The entertainment was top notch and the performers are really some of the best I have seen. The only downside was the housekeeping wasn’t the best in terms of cleaning and the fresh towels had a damp smell to them. I assume that’s because of it being an older ship. The other issue is during the peak dining hours you may need to queue for up to 30 minutes. I would still recommend going on this cruise anyway as it’s a good experience at a reasonable price.

The accommodations were clean and comfortable, and the onboard activities were plentiful. In addition to swimwear, be sure to bring sneakers. I had brunch and lunch at the Lido Restaurant buffet, which was delicious, with a great view, and comfortable seating. I enjoyed dinner at the North Star Restaurant for two nights, with Cantonese-style soup and exquisite side dishes, and was very satisfied.

The inspiration for this reflection comes from our recently completed 4-day, 3-night Penghu trip. The journey began at Tsim Sha Tsui Ocean Terminal, and as the evening lights twinkled, the excitement of departure filled us with anticipation for Kaohsiung and Penghu ahead. This new, limited-time itinerary for Spring 2026 cleverly blends the cultural vibrancy of a city with the natural tranquility of an outlying island. We were fortunate to book an ocean-view stateroom at a 45% discount. The space for two was very comfortable, and with our room located between the 9th and 11th decks, the views were incredibly expansive. We could watch the sunrise over the sea in the morning and gaze at a sky full of stars at night. The dining options on board were plentiful. We made it a habit to secure a window seat at the Lido Buffet to enjoy breakfast with a sea view. Each evening, we alternated between the Polaris Restaurant for Chinese cuisine and the Sofia Restaurant for a romantic Western meal, making every dining experience feel fresh. We made full use of the ship's facilities—we watched a spectacular magic show at the Constellation Theater and even bravely challenged the zip line on the deck. The feeling of 'flying' with the sea breeze was an unforgettable experience. The most appealing aspect of the cruise was the shore excursions. The cruise strategically arrived in Kaohsiung at noon and departed at 10:30 PM, providing ample time for us to leisurely explore this vibrant port city. We strolled along the beautifully lit Love River, visited the Pier-2 Art Center to soak in its artistic atmosphere, and in the evening, we went to a bustling night market to savor authentic Taiwanese snacks and experience the warm local hospitality. Early the next morning, the cruise sailed into Penghu, offering a completely different charm. Arriving at the port at 9:00 AM and departing at 4:00 PM, we had the entire day to fully explore this 'Pearl of the Sea.' We rented bicycles and rode along the coastline to discover the magnificent basalt columns. We also enjoyed lunch in a traditional fishing village, where the freshly caught seafood at any small eatery was incredibly delicious. After three nights of a meticulously planned itinerary, the cruise finally returned to Hong Kong on Wednesday morning at 11:00 AM. Looking back at this sea vacation, the convenience of a cruise far surpassed the hassle of flying and changing hotels. Especially with Kaohsiung and Penghu—one a vibrant port city, the other a picturesque and tranquil island—every morning brought a new experience. For couples looking to enjoy quality time together without the complexity of planning a detailed itinerary, this trip is absolutely the perfect choice.

A leisure experience, seems not peak season in mid-April, the ship was not full. Easily access to restaurants and theatre. Friendly staff.

Onboard Activities: If you plan on doing the zip line, remember to bring pants and sneakers. The pool is relatively small. Experience: Excellent, suitable for families. Entertainment Options: The shows are great and amazing! Especially Yimo's performance, I would love to see it again. Dining Experience: Sophia's is the best, I recommend going a little earlier to queue as it fills up pretty quickly. Accommodation: You won't regret choosing a balcony room, very chill, but small insects might fly in. Also, the hair dryer is very old, it stops working after 5 minutes! There are 2 USB charging ports, but they charge very, very slowly.

First time experience of cruise, except the beginning spent lots of time of waiting for check in, overall good experience... you can enjoy the swimming pool, shows, delicious food on board, many elderly persons

Amazing Food: The buffet on board had a wide variety of choices, from Taiwanese stir-fries to international cuisine, with especially fresh seafood! I especially recommend the steak set at the themed restaurant, the taste was excellent, and the service was attentive. 3. Kaohsiung Onshore Exploration: The onshore itinerary when stopping in Kaohsiung was very flexible. I went to Cijin to eat seafood, strolled through the Love River night view, and had time to take beautiful photos at Sizihwan. Although there was no tour guide, the itinerary suggestions and maps provided by Klook were very practical, allowing us to easily explore Kaohsiung! Suggestions: • It is recommended to book some popular activities on board in advance (such as cooking classes or fitness classes), as spots fill up easily. • The transportation guidance for onshore itineraries could be more detailed, which would be more helpful for travelers visiting Kaohsiung for the first time. Experience: The onboard entertainment and dining were excellent, suitable for the whole family. The embarkation and disembarkation process in Xiamen was smooth, and the disembarkation in Hong Kong was also very well-arranged. The only issues were the long waiting time and small waiting area when boarding in Hong Kong, and the rooms were a bit cramped. Otherwise, everything else was very satisfactory.
