Present the Klook QR code at the ticket counter to receive physical tickets. This theme park is fantastic! I regret not renting a costume because it's the perfect place for magnificent photos, as the scenery truly immerses you in old Edo. The park staff are lovely. Don't miss the various shows, especially the Oiran procession (daily schedule available on the park's website). We spent the morning at Toshogu Temple, then from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the park, and that was more than enough time. A MUST-DO! Note: There's a free shuttle from Nikko JR Station. For the return trip, ask the park office to call a taxi to Kosagoe Station (1,500¥) and use your pass to return to Shimo Imaichi Station (you can take the Spacia X by reserving a Limited Express ticket via the TOBU line website – the standard ticket is included with the pass). This is the only place where you'll find customizable Daruma dolls.
Felt like I was lived in Edo era, everything looks so amazing it seems like in a different world … it’s like a time Machine brought me there for a short time… a marvellous experience I really enjoyed it and would like to come again for sure!
Shows: Amazing! There are so many shows to enjoy in Edo. All the shows are excellent, but you can't record them with a camera or phone, so you'll truly immerse yourself in the experience. This is a highly recommended place that you must visit in Japan. However, my advice is to check the free bus schedule to the location so you don't miss it.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone who likes Edo period history, and anyone who likes to have a fun, exciting and interesting day out. Bring lots of cash as many of the gift shops and food only take cash. There are free buses from Nikko station. Have the best day!
Nikko Edomura is primarily a theme park showcasing the Edo period of Japan. You can rent traditional Japanese clothing for a fee, and there are many experiences and performances inside. These include a ninja training center, ninja show, samurai training center, Shinsengumi samurai parade, geisha performance, and oiran parade. The ninja training center is mainly a challenge course, incorporating the ninja hand signs Rin, Pyo, Toh, Sha, Kai, Jin, Retsu, Zai, Zen as the names of the stages. Successful completion of the course will earn you a ninja qualification certificate as a souvenir. There are also paid experience programs such as shuriken throwing, archery, and senbei grilling. However, there are no amusement park rides in the park. The entire park is suitable for family travel and is especially recommended for people who enjoy taking Japanese-style photos.
Ninja show, Ninja maze, Ninja 🥷 training hall! I'm still a bit disorientated from the training hall. Don't miss the shows, it is an absolute MUST watch! Definitely a great spot if you want to go back in time, wear a kimono or be a 🥷 Great to learn about edo times of architecture and culture!
It was a great experience! It felt like you traveled back in time to the Edo period. The place and architecture really resembles back in those days and the staff dressed up as such as well. You can even rent clothes back in that era to blend in with the place.
I really love the place, great atmosphere. The shows were entertaining even though we didn’t speak Japanese, I believe that been in a costume is better. The only thing that’s a bit far away and difficulty for getting there from Tokyo.
Ahhh, our Nikko highlight. You can easily spend a whole day there. Lots of activities, shows, and the entire place is authentically designed for the Edo period. We dressed as princess and samurai for the day. Those who say that it is only good for kids don’t know what they’re talking about. There are stuff for both adults and kids. Free shuttle bus in front of the JR Nikko statoon arrived per the timetables. Would love to do it all again.
Pre-purchase Nikko Edo Village tickets on Klook. When you arrive, just give the Klook ticket QR code to the staff to scan, and you can enter easily and save time in purchasing tickets. We experienced the style of the Edo period in Nikko Edo Village. The streets, ninja towns, buildings, etc. in the theme park are full of the antique atmosphere of the Edo period. Moreover, we can experience the barbecue senbei in the theme park for an additional 250 yen and experience Edo culture firsthand. In addition, there are several theaters in Nikko Edo Village, where we watched ninja action dramas, witty comedies, and oiran parades. It is worth a visit!
